Actually, my comments were tongue in cheek because I just don't know how to be less than the sum of the parts. My dad was such a visionary....30 years ahead of his time....he taught us all ALOT--and we miss him ALOT. But he lives on in each of us.....as yours does in you and your sisters. You were so fortunate to have him. My father died on January 17 before I was born on February 13. He was 27 and (supposedly) had a heart attack.
Awwwww....that is so sad. Can't imagine how that impacts a child. Did you have a stepfather or grandfather to fill that role?
My cousin's husband died at 27---from cancer. She never remarried. She must be about 70 by now. Was a couple years older than her hubby. Their son was about 3, I think, when he died. So fortunate not to have lost a parent or child before their time (knock on wood for the kids and grandkids--and praise God for his blessings).
My mother married again, but I was just two months away from being 17, so my ideas were pretty well formed by then. We lived with my mother's brother and his wife until I was six months old; then we moved away when my mother got a teaching job. Thank goodness she already had her degree when I was born. We spent every summer with my maternal grandparents, so my grandfather and I were pretty close. He died when I was eleven. Being an only child and not having that many men around, I was pretty intolerant of most of them when I was younger. Now that I am older and wiser (I hope) and have "met" Maks, I'm a lot more tolerant NOW.!!

Do you suppose she heard about our Maksology class????One of our new courses could be how to exist as Maks' MIL 101 (or how to keep your hands off your son-in-law).
HAHA!! Who would teach that???
Oh, Jet! LMFAO. Great question!! I hadn't thought of that. We might need an outsider (someone who has never met Maks or even seen a pic of him) to teach that. Or maybe a straight man. Do you think we could get Dr. Phil?

Just had a thought! Can you imagine how hard it would be to be Maks' mother-in-law? OMG!
We'd be wanting to make out with him! If you've ever watched Dr. Phil, you know that stranger things than this have happened.
LOL...Annie would we have to call Jerry Springer on you???LOL
Maybe, but I think Dr. Phil could put me in my place if need be. Just looking at those squinty eyes would set me straight! However, I would love to look like his wife.

Hey!
While battery was charging I came up with where Maks is!! I think he left Sea-Tac last nite and came to LA. Assume he knew MD was coming. She could have left DWT as soon as the race started or sometime in the afternoon because she gains 3 hrs. in flight. So MnM could have arrived here at close to the same time. Had last nite and today together, even tonite. He could fly to HI early tomorrow and show up to perform in the evening cuz he gains 2 hrs. going west. She is in SM tomorrow, we assume, for her gig.
Do you think that could be it? Just had to throw it out there.....and we may never know!'!! HAHA. Now to see if Maks makes HI!
Last time here; just had to share! Till tomorrow.....
