Just a few random thoughts while on a break at work!

If I do watch Season 19 at all (doubtful), I will go back to the way I did it before last season, mute everything but the dances.   I also believe that Derek/Julianne was a twofer deal.   I think they may have a change of heart when they see they ratings, maybe not so much Week 1, but I bet Week 2.   I think there will have to be a noticeable drop  which would not have been the case if Maks were the 4th judge.   I think they will really try to woo Maks & Meryl back sometime during the season, and I hope they play it for everything they can get.   In response to someone's question last night, I don't think either of them would really agree to dance with anyone else.   Maks might agree to do a pro number and/or Meryl might agree to dance with Val (under Maks' strict supervision), but not in lieu of dancing together.  

I think Maks was always the star of that show.  Some might want to say Derek, and I'm sure he has a lot of fans, but with a couple of very rare exceptions, he wasn't interesting.  No drama.   No conflict.  Willing to swallow whatever s**t the judges dished out (although he never got that much) and say whatever was necessary.   I think he was a much better choreographer when he tried to be really creative within the rules of what the judges wanted.   Julianne will be the same way.   For her, coming back to DWTS has to be a come down.   Her singing/acting career has fizzled, and she needs to get some more visibility.   Maks is on his way up.  

I hope with his new management, they'll find something really creative and great for him to do.   Certainly like the idea of him and Sharna with Meryl and Charlie doing something.  I would love to see them set up someday in Vegas.   Can you imagine one of the big hotels setting up an ice rink/dance floor in a theater and have the four of them in residency?   I think people would flock to see them.  There's already a thriving ballroom dance community in Vegas.   And it would allow them all to have some kind of relatively normal life.  

I firmly believe that was Meryl in Hawaii.   I also believe that they're both, not even testing the waters, but starting to come out.   All the SM activity, shout outs, hidden hands (as she gets more used to wearing a ring, she will be more and more forgetful about hiding it)...let's see if he shows up in Sun Valley.

Now that BWAT's over and no more Q&As, Maks will have fewer opportunities to talk about  her to big audiences.   I think they might now throw caution to the wind.   In New York and/or Michigan they could go more unnoticed by the paps and be out together.   I think it's hard for them to hide it.  If I was in love the way he is and the way we think she is (she is more reserved), I'd want to shout it from the rooftops, or at least display it from time to time, even if I refused to talk about it.  They're already getting the questions at every appearance.   It couldn't get worse if they actually did step out together.
Loved the bustle.com article, but she has been a shipper all along.  

I think 3 months is time enough to figure our where you're headed, even if it takes you a while to get there.

RIGHT ON, tango.....I completely agree with what you've said.  I also believe Meryl was in HI for reasons I posted earlier this morning. 

Bustle article was cute and I also wondered how they could so definitively state that MnM were a couple about mid-article.  Do they have a real source?  Hope so!  I think soon they will either be seen together and photographed or they will more or less come out as a couple.  I've always thought Maks pretty much has put it out there anyway--all along.  Just listen to Maks!!  LOL  HE can't hide it--it's all over his face, in his demeanor, and in what he says.  Also something about his body language when he talks about Meryl.  As I've said  before, I think their actual (conventional) "dating" phase was during dwts....since they it's been more long distance for obvious reasons but "very close" and frequent, as Maks has indicated--with private get-togethers when they can arrange it

So....HAPPY DANCE is in order for all of us!  I would suspect that Meryl had to be in Sun Valley at least by today, wouldn't you?  I will check the SOI website and see if this is the last performance for a while.

Good evening to the two or three of you are are left.  I got here late and will only be on for awhile.  Here are my music nominations. 
I suggest "Evergreen"  (You tube video, Barbra Streisand talks about getting older and falling in love at first sight.)   "You Are So Beautiful" just because MnM are both beautiful, but most often this song is applied only to the woman.   "Wind Beneath My Wings" because each of them has brought the best out of the other.  MnM couldn't have won the mirrorball without what the other brought to the table and brought out of them and without the incredible respect they have for each other.    

And "You Needed Me" which, along with "Could I Have This Dance for the Rest of My Life?", are two of anne Murray's most beautiful love songs.
