Peta is sure beautiful, but do you think she looks older than she is? What happened with James? They were doing everything together for about a month after the show, then nothing. She moved apts. At first I thought she moved in with him, but I don't think so. Wonder if that showmance fell through.
I think she does look a bit older than she is...she is pretty though...and she doesn't seem snooty eigther. Not sure about James will see what he is up to and report back...
Peta's hairstyle looks like a throwback to the 1950s.

I composed a long answer and then managed to delete it. Aargh!
The music on DWTS has always been one of my pet peeves. Technically, I suppose you can dance any dance but a waltz to any four count song. I always wonder what kind of music/dance expertise the person who picks the music has. Of course, they are also dealing with the issue of rights and cost on the show. I know the pros submit a list at the beginning of the season of songs they would like, but that doesn't mean you get them.
I've always thought one of the ways TPTB manipulate the show is to give bad music to people this want to cause trouble for. M&M had pretty fantastic music all season, at least danceable. I think the samba was the worst music.
Here are the dances and the songs from best to worst, IMO:
swing/jive - they usually have decent music for these
rumba - they pretty systematically have real rumba music, even if it's not Latin music, because it's a common beat in popular songs
foxtrot - same for fox trot - it's usually pretty good, primarily because you can do foxtrot to pretty much anything
slow waltz - this is okay because you pretty much can't do a waltz to anything other than slow waltz music
salsa - they're choice of salsa music is usually Latin and usually pretty good
cha cha - usually they have pretty good songs, even if they're not Latin. A lot of them are what my studio calls rock cha chas (ie. M&M Week 1)
samba - it's really hard to do a good samba to bad music; the music adds so much to it. M&M did a superb job with really crappy music. That was not a samba song.
Viennese waltz - I don't think I've ever heard a real V. waltz on the show. Usually they use country songs which are often written in 12/8 time (1-2-3, 2-2-3, 3-2-3, 4-2-3). These can be counted as 4 counts by accenting 1/2/3/4. Or as 4 sets of 3 for a waltz time. It's not really a waltz and most country songs do not give the right feel for a V. waltz. M&M had a pretty good song message wise, so they could work with it.
paso doble/tango - this is probably the worst, IMO. Rarely do couples get a real tango or paso song. M&M's tango music was not a tango, but it was a driving rock song, so they could use it.
This is just my estimation of the music. But M&M really lucked out, except for the samba.
Thanks for explaining this Tango!! It helps alot!!
Thanks tango...You should teach a class on "Dance Knowledge 101" next session...
hey yeah thats a good idea !!!

Annie did I answer your question about Sabrina? Was that what you were looking for?
Yes! Thanks so much for posting! Was this your bitterest disappointment of DWTS? Did you already know who Sabrina was and were you a fan of hers? Was she in a TV show that you watched?
You're welcome!!!!!
I did not know who Sabrina was.....I can't remember who I was going to root for, but she was not on my radar.....and then I saw her perform with Mark that Cha Cha and I was blown away.....There was also a big shipper crowd of Sabrina and Mark. We had a big thread on the old board for a while....just like Meryl and Maks. And yes....that was the bitterest moment of DWTS for me. She should have won her season....she should have won the all stars too!!!! She was that good.

It was good....we had one boy so close to medaling...I think he was disappointed because he was 4th in Double A but 11th overall and they just gave the top 7 medals.
