I'm for all those suggestions. However, some mother posted on the internet that DWTS is supposed to be a family show, but, after seeing Peta in that red lingerie, she won't let her children watch. Here is possibly what Maks is doing: I read that Len will not be there for the 1st half of the show, so maybe they offered that to Maks with the promise that when Len retires at the end of Season 19, Maks can have his job. What do you think about that idea?

 

 
So you think they would just keep that under wraps till the season starts?????  Maybe.... but they made such a big deal about the announcement that you would think they'd reveal that rather than take the hate mail??  Maybe not since they wanted to kiss up to JH......idk

 I would love to see Maks take Lens position when he retires...it would be hard to keep under wraps...

I must have missed something. Jenna was offered a pro position? And what about Cheryl? Was Cheryl going to leave and then decided not to? And was Jenna going to fill Cheryl's position, but Cheryl changed her mind? I'm confused.

I don't think he wants to be a spectacle or distraction from Meryl when the focus should be on her and Charlie--and the skating world.  He could get criticized for being there and sucking the oxygen out of the rink or he could feel out of place himself considering their current status.  I know he traveled with the tour and watched them perform, but now it is different since the show is over.  I think it's about political correctness for the skating world more than anything.  She would probably love for him to be with her, but too much gossip and speculation about their behavior wouldn't be good for her.
