Re: The Key to Life Is......

Luv I was thinking the same thing earlier today when I saw the pic of Maks in the blue stripe jacket...that they look like barber shop quartet minus 1.....LOL

Ah, it is. It's the first day of autumn! A time for hot chocolatety mornings, and toasting marshmallow evenings, as best of all, leaping into *leaves*!

Re: The Key to Life Is......

I think this is an old picture of Fedor and Meryl.

Also,  I believe Maks' contract was up.  They were going to let it slide and by his own words, he went to the producers and asked to come back for the last time.  It's possible that they could have renewed his contract, but I honestly don't think he wanted it.  He wants to do other things and as long as he is under contract with ABC, they have to approve anything he does.  I don't believe that Meryl talked him into anything or was even a part of his decision.

KOS, I always that that "Meryl wanting Maks to quit"  was a rumor or reported in some rag mag.....could you tell me where you heard or read it?

There was a rumor to that effect sometime in July.  But what I am referring to today is the backstage bit after their freestyle, Meryl clearly says to Maks, "I am honored to have danced your last freestyle with you."  She was endorsing his decision not to dance again as a pro dancer on DWTSIMO, there had to have been several conversations about this decision for her to say what she did in agreement with his decision.  My understanding is that they never expected this backstage bit or the Boris and Oleg bits to be made public.

To my knowledge Maks did not make his desion public until sometime in July, or at some point before the BWAT shows began.

Maks (Bergen County Interview when asked about the kind of woman he would like to marry.)  "I'm drawn to success.  I want to be somebody's fan, excited about her life, her career, her choices."

well she is doing the mirror ball tour thing with GMA so i don't think she or Maks are too put out with DWTS

A lot of local celebs or previous winners are in the audience....Yamaguchi is one that goes a lot, I've noticed. Florence Henderson as well.

I think Meryl will always do what is expected and seen as a commitment or a favor. She is that type of person. Grateful, humble, and reciprocal. If Maks has a legit reason for not going to dwts for anything, she would probably support him in that way but it may not be her decision for herself unless it is dancing with someone else. If they were smart, tho, and Maks turned them down, they would partner her with Val.

I thought about that too, but Val might not have time to practice with her if he and his partner are in the finale. I also thought about Derek, but am not sure what Maks would think about that. In an ideal world, they would have an intermission, and everyone would get up and walk into another room that had an ice rink. Then she and Charlie could do some ice dancing. After all, that is why they were invited to be on the show in the first place.
Back to dancing at the finale with Maks, though! That would be a ratings bonanza, and they would have to bring in extra chairs for the audience, I think.

Well, there is always Tony!!  He will be done early--that is his role on the show!!! LOL  I'm sure Maks would be ok with her dancing with him since he is family!!!

I absolutely love him, and he’s an incredible person. We have this friendship that I have no doubt in my mind is a life-long friendship.  Getting a chance to know him away from training for Dancing With the Stars, I think we've gotten a chance to know each other in a different way, which of course just makes you closer. Yeah, maybe....cause Fedor looks really cute in this picture and I thought newer pictures I've seen of him he doesn't look that cute anymore.

I gasped when I saw this picture of Meryl and Fedor.  In this picture Fedor looks remarkably like my 34 year old son whom I wrote about when I first joined the ABC board.  I have not seen a reseblence in any of his other pictures.

Sure your son wasn't a stand-in for Fedor?!!  LOL

I kind of don't feel right about asking him to translate his song.....I don't know why, I feel like if he wanted all of us to know he would record it for us in English.....it seems like a nice tribute for his mom.

Didn't tweet him, but found this on youtube:

I don't think we are meant to know what he's saying to/about his mama but h
e is saying how much he loves her,  how he would do anything for her and basically thanking her for everything she has done for him and Maks (his brother).

LOL..ok no problem...i just figured he recorded it in Russian because she speaks Russian better than English and so she would understand it...but thats ok I like listening too it in Russian...lol...we'll just leave it alone!!

I don't know why...I just feel weird asking him!!!!!  Maybe cause I just haven't had luck tweeting any of them and I feel silly to keep doing it LOL

LOL...thats ok don't feel bad...LOL...i didn't want to know that bad....LOL...it's no biggy...and i don't want you to do anything that makes you feel uncomfortable...i was mainly just kidding anyway...the chance of getting an answer is not very likely anyhow...lol...I know that

in one of the BWAT   q and a clips someone asked Maks if Meryl came back for an all stars season could she dance with Val and he said flat no..LOL...because Val hurt her during switch up week...then he said if she came back for an allstars and was't paired with him(maks) it wouldn't be with Val...but to me it came across as him saying if she came back for an all stars he would want to be her partner ...because he never did name who he would want her partnered with

She wouldn't want to dance with anyone else either.  Just remember the switch up week videos!
