I am thinking the same thing too!!! I think he had thougt about not coming back this season because of he and Mark doing something together and his show with his sister...

"I am in agreement with you that Maks is bound somewhere not to say whatever he doesn't say. I would agree that he pretty much knows how to cut loose and move on. He has done it before but I'm sure it is also bittersweet. It is always best to leave business relationships on a friendly note. I'm sure Maks has tried to do that.
I heard or read that the Sherman Oaks studio is a franchise now--the first DWM franchise. They needed the name and the advertising support and whatever other franchise bennies there are (high profile instructors, etc.) to try to turn it around apparently. I think it has only been in business for about 6 mos. I have no idea what the area and demographics of Sherman Oaks are like these days, but I rather suspect it's not like a higher income area that would be able to support a dance studio operation on its own. I think they need to draw from a much larger area so need to be able to reach out effectively. Plenty of people and space to tap into certainly but they have to promote, promote, promote. Hopefully they will find success. Not an easy time in CA to establish a new business and make a go of it. All the folks with real jobs are leaving the state because of the taxes and lack of jobs."
KOS, Excellent points about a business in CA now. I know of 3 couples are closing their business and leaving the state because it's such an unfriendly business environment. I don't know anything about Sherman Oaks financial situation. Hope the studio succeeds ,but it's Maks' name and a little bit of Val that will draw students in. I think Elena is probably a fabulous teacher, but she is not well known and is not a draw. I do like the fact that her husband has been so hands on with the renovations of the studio. He appears to be not just a pretty boy-- good for him. Looks like Elena found a wonderful supportive partner.
Interesting about the franchise information. Sounds good.

Carrie here is the pic I think they are talking about with Fed-ex and Meryl....there is no date or time on it..but here is how it was posted....
I wonder if it was Saint Patricks day? They are all in green and it looks like shamrocks painted on them. If that is the case, it would have to be at least a year old because she was on DWTS this past Saint Patricks day.

Did you guys see the latest chickie IG? topless pic( boobs hidden) ? The difference between her and Meryl is about as far apart as one can get. Look at the beautiful, thoughtful quotes Meryl loves compared to the bikini site that you have to be 18 to go on that ( and the rumored escort service ) chickie has. That pretty much sums up their differences. Meryl is class and in my opinion deserves to have a substantial life of happiness, not R rated drama. It does make me wonder if she and Maks could ever really make it. Can you see Meryl being in that kind of environment long term? Maybe she and Maks are just too different. ( don't hate me for saying that) I want to believe in the romantic dream, but the further we get away from seeing them, the more I begin to wonder. I'm not criticizing Maks for who he decides to be with, it's his choice and like all of us Meryl and Maks will have to live with their decisions.
The wedding we attended was just so lovely with two people so totally in love, it started me thinking about the reality of Meryl being with Maks in that entertainment life. Maks is as tied in to the Hollywood/NYC dance/entertainment life as Meryl is tied to skating. It's really all each of them know.
I'm not depressed, just working on being realistic-- something I try to work on daily with them. I continue to want both of them to be happy and if creepy Fed-ex is what Meryl ends up wanting, and chickie or Karina end up who Maks wants, so be it. As many of us have said, we had a great 3 months + of being in love with what we saw on screen.
