She was seeking attention. Must have been that she had a miserable time in Italy listening to Meryl stories and seeing the videos. That whole thing bombed on her so now she's trying another tactic. Just a "child" of 22.

I do believe she was looking for attention...and more than likely didn't get the kind she wanted....

we're here Annie....I wouldn't worry about Karina at all....i really don't think there is any thing between them any more but friendship...and it may not have been up to him who got to dance with him at the benefit....the organizers may have and probably did pick who they wanted the other dancer to be 

Thanks, April. Can't imagine why they wouldn't have wanted Meryl to be the other dancer since she and Maks won the MBT together.
 

yeah and to us thats everything but well Karina is the pro dancer and she and Maks did just do Forever Tango and some BWAT shows together

Loving that interpretation, Neenay!  I certainly hope you are correct....I really admire Meryl's selflessness.  Her humility is extremely uncommon in today's world.  DB is a bottom feeder, as my hubby would say, and further illustrated it today.  Glad you are back in town to keep us all in line on the tweets!!

Hey Jet! I agree totally in Meryl's selflessness - the very thing I believe that drew Maks to her...also, the personality type that meshes so well with his... You know , the ying/yang theory......come what may,I will continue to stand by what we witnessed between those two , and , until one of them is "officially" with someone else (can barely type that), I'm in lock, stock and barrel!!!
 

 Right on, Neenay--and I am with you too!!  Completely complementary with one another in almost every way.  I think they can sort out the rest of it.  They are reasonable people.  Shall we pinky swear to stick together till one or the other is "officially" not available??!!  Here's my pinky......
