Re: "Season 20 JUST GOT REAL!!" Let's watch together.

Excerpt from Jessica Radloff's article:

6:55 P.M. Maks and Meryl wait patiently for the opening number to star, whispering in each other’s ears while swaying back and forth. It’s just like old times.

8:06 P.M. Maks’ audition tape is shown, and Meryl can’t believe what she’s seeing. By the way, the shirt and beanie that Tony Dovolani wore in the celebriquarium? Tony told me that was the actual shirt and beanie from Maks’ closet! He went in and stole it purposely for that moment. It’s payback because earlier in the day, “Maks was making fun of my face on the poster of winners,” says Tony.

8:08 P.M. When Tom Bergeron throws to commercial, Maks and Meryl head over to the judges’ table to give them hugs and kisses. As far as I remember, they were the only couple to do that. They then hold hands as they run off backstage.
Other tidbits: At the after party I ask Meryl what was her most awkward moment on the dance floor or in rehearsal and she recounts the moment that Maks got frustrated and threw his audio pack off. Still, “we really clicked during our season. He’s genuinely an incredible person, and the passion makes him who he is. So sometimes if there’s a little bit too much or if it comes off the wrong way, it’s just part of the package,” Meryl tells me. She also tells me that she had the best time dancing with Maks again on the DWTS dance floor and wants to do it again. Until that happens, she’ll be performing with Maks in SWAY this summer.

Hi All!
Still waiting for the whole show to come up on youtube, but it will before the end of the day here.  I've seen some single numbers, but no immunity dances yet. Missing tango and her expertise.  She could explain why the AT of Kym and Robert was only 'worth' 7/8.  If you see a post at the other place, view, can you please bring it over?   Thanks.
Ready to hold your hand, view.  Today marked one year of passing of someone very dear to me, but who I had never met.  Strange thing really just like I'm not 100% sure I comprehend why/what it is we have going here in the sisterhood.  That friend, and I call her that despite never having met, had joined an online autism support group that I had founded.  We spend many hours exchanging on firstly autism topics, interventions, biomedical treatments (a passion we shared) latest research but afterwards also more and more private topics like living in an abusive relationship ect.  Well and one day we were still chatting in the morning and by the afternoon she had died in a head on collision in the outback.  I have a lot of regretts to never have made it to meet in person (a 4-hour drive).  What a powerful reminder that we can't afford to put off the important things in life.
As hard as it is though, view.... I'm sure any transgender person would gladly have the full 'deal' with everything pleasant and painful that comes with it, if it was on offer.  As women, we can relate how wanting your own children, but not being able to bear them, feels.  They can call themselves 'women' anytime - equal suffering, just not physical.
Got to go and pick little guy up from school.

Thinking of you, Gabriele ... very sorry for the loss of your friend.

(Late) Morning to all the other sisters. Gabriele brought up some interesting thoughts. I must share a story.
As most of you know my husband was diagnosed with cancer back in March of 1999. His treatments led to infertility issues which led me to an AOL chat group. Hard to believe that chat groups were really few and far between back then! Finding one dealing with infertility and in-vitro (let alone infertility due to cancer) was near impossible. Fast forward - I found a group of women online, and we bonded immediately over a variety of immensely personal details - details I would never have thought possible to share with anyone other than my two super close friends. We came from all walks of life, from all ages and stages, from a variety of financial backgrounds and were scattered across the country. We started tracking each other's cycles as if each was our own, sprinkled virtual baby dust on each other, celebrated each conception with HUGE rounds of virtual hugs and congrats, and cried real and virtual tears when so many of us endured the painful loss of a baby or flat-out didn't conceive at all. One of the ladies worked at the Pentagon and was there on 9/11. After several terrifying days she posted that she was OK ... but after that she went her separate way. I became very close with four of the women and have kept in touch with them going on 15 years now (Xmas cards and all!). One never did conceive but went on to adopt two beautiful boys from Korea. Another had a husband who ultimately passed from a rare form of stomach cancer when their daughter was just a few months old. She went on to remarry and had a second child with her new husband. The two others I met in person - we all ended up pregnant together and were all due within a couple weeks of each other - one miscarried for the third time, one had twin girls, and I delivered our stillborn son one month later. I met the twin mom the week after 9/11 in CO - we were both 6 months pregnant. Ironically the second woman and myself became pregnant together once again (our kids are 3 weeks apart) - we all met in CO 9 years ago - (husbands included!) we had a combined total of 7 kids between us at the time! 😊 The tears flowed and flowed as did the laughter - having photos of our children together is priceless. My husband and I are now godparents to one of the children and we have all gotten together several times. When we moved to CO several years ago we ended up living 20 minutes from one of them. Talk about a small world! Sooo ... whew!! Didn't mean to over share ... just wanted you all to know that you are all just as special to me! When you click, it's just magic! 😊 I have learned so much from all of you and have been so privileged to peek into your "real lives." I know I don't post often (probably good since I'm so verbose when I do! Ha!), but I wanted to let you know just how fantastic I think all of you are!! 😘😘😘

Naaaaw.....  thanks for sharing.  Exchanging about these private and personal things over the internet felt so weird to me at first.  But I guess that was the precise feeling our Great-Grandparents had when they had a telephone conversation the first time in their lives.     Anonymity can make it feel safer to tackle the real tough stuff.

Hey, all. Sorry I missed hanging with you guys last night.  Spent the day with my mom.  She is having some health issues and wound up being admitted to the hospital last night.  This incredible woman has fought breast cancer for over 20 years!!  Chemo and radiation through the years have taken a toll on her.....she will be 84 in June.  Tomorrow they are putting a new stent in her esophagus.  The breast cancer metastasized in her esophagus and radiation damaged it.  Too much to go into.....but it really sucks!!  Hope the anniversary special will put me in a better mood.  Talk to you all soon.  Btw, CEK....congrats on the new granddaughter!!  So happy for you!! xoxoxoxoxo

So sorry to hear, Cassidy.......

Why would he choose that pair from their range.  But wait.....  it served him well by people talking about his fashion sense instead of the Howard Stern interview.  Right?

Re: "Season 20 JUST GOT REAL!!" Let's watch together.

Happy Sunny and Warm Wednesday from VA....at least for today...

Hope everyone had a good night last night...and I hope you enjoyed the really short, hurried, over way to quick DWTS Anniversary Special...

I was so hoping that more of the past MB winners would dance, like Apolo and Julianne....
Well maybe on the 15th Anniversary they will make it longer....I think they should put out an DWTS 10th Anniversry DVD extended version to include all the stuff they didn't have on the show....just my opinion...LOL

Ok on to the news!!!!
