Thanks for all the videos and links, CEK
8. Kelly Monaco and Val Chmerkovskiy
Were they dancing? Is that what was happening here? We were a bit distracted by Val’s speedo and Kelly’s barely-there bottoms. Val kept going on about how it was cold in there but we saw no signs of that as the two original DWTS winners took the stage for some sort of odd nearly naked paso doble-ing.
What is this person even talking about here in #8? I thought Val and Kelly did not win their season...well I know they didn't since he has never won.
I can add to this, too...I heard Val say that he wasn't too eager to do this, or with any of his past partners in the middle of the season, in what should be Rumer's season. But he knew it was sort of an iconic moment, or memorable moment, etc. He said we will never see him dancing in a Speedo again.
Bravo.

I agree with your grandchild, eastcoast.
On the other forum I stated as much a few days before the Special; that I would not invite my 8 yr old to watch it with me, as she does on Monday nights...(I even delete some of the raunchier fare from the recorded Monday Show lately...Bootylicious, indeed.)
I do wish they would keep it a little more family friendly. Because it can be a very inspiring, motivating, America land of opportunity - type teaching moment for kids and their parents/grandparents.

Just to say that I am reading again, ...and other activities now that the board is quieter.
I have only read the introduction (about her mother in the concentrations camps - surviving but weighing just 59 pounds at the end) ...and maybe about 20 pages in to the actual book. I'm enjoying it. A good memoir of an interesting life of a successful woman.

I agree with you View, it may be time for me to write a letter to the network.

Sawyer Sweeten: A Mom's Final Goodbye"Sawyer was such a completely amazing boy, which makes what has happened so much more confusing to us as a family," Elizabeth Gini tells PEOPLE
So sad! He was only 19! I remember him as one of the sweet little twin boys on Everybody Loves Raymond.

I've been meaning to tell you eastcoast...for someone who had not heard that expression, I've sure run in to it quite a bit lately. Most recently in a book.
There are lots of "memes" of it.
And apparently, "Throat Punch Thursday" is a thing.
