What a pretty picture! One of the best ones I've seen in a while. I like the colour, it suits her a lot. Have to admit that the off-whites and beiges she often chooses leave me a bit underwhelmed. But loving this.

I love them too, but have never seen them growing here in Texas. They are gorgeous, and sometimes they are at the grocery store or the florist -- more expensive than roses or tulips.

Oh, annie. You know peonies are one thing that grow so well up here and survive the winters unfazed. But I know what you mean. One of the bitter disappointments of living in Louisiana for my sister the gardener - has been that she absolutely cannot grow peonies. (oh, well let the abundant azalaeas and every other kind of gorgeous flower help compensate for that I tell her)
Our mother always had many bushes in the yard. The flood killed every peony bush, lilac, dogwood, evergreen type tree, perennial flower etc in the flood zone (1/3 of the city) But, happily, those who replanted them in 2013 (my next door neighbors) have blooming bushes this year.

@AlexSanderNYC I understand why you’re mad, but you should know… I’ve seen some of the videos, and if anything… they’re only making me want to go even more and experience it for myself. Unfortunately, I can’t. You see, I’m disabled. So viewing the videos are, far removed, but second best for someone like me. I thank the people who took them, because I get to view something I will never get to see in my life. I really hope you see this. I know the experience is unbelievable.

I'd love to go to this, KOS....my sister's birthday is September 12. The one who lives in Louisiana. I'll have to suggest she come up this way when she can no longer abide LA's heat and humidity. Have you ever attended a performance of hers in person?
