I saw this twitter chart...I don't really know if it is the final score. It's about whose freestyle was most tweeted to be danced again tonight.

Just a quick note. I listened to an interview last week, and in that interview Val said that Rumer has been asked to dance in SWAY. What I missed was how often or how involved she would be.
I listened to that too...He brought the subject up out of nowhere, much as he did with Janel last Season. She (Janel) looked totally caught off guard and said something like, "We'll see, we'll have to see about that"
Rumer said something like, "I'd be down for that - totally" So that is all I know at this point. But especially if they win, and because I don't think Rumer has the work commitments that Janel had/has (to PLL) - I would think Val would want her to be a part of it. And I think - is this correct? - that Zendaya will not be in it this time.
According to an interview I saw with Zendays a couple or three weeks ago, she said that, because of other commitments, she would not be in SWAY 3.
While I rarely take part in the conversations about the competitors and their dance because I do not have a TV, I do, at a later time, watch the dances, or some of them, on you tube. I confess that I began to watch DWTS only because of the Chmerkovskiy brothers. Why? Since I was a sophmore in high school and had to read Crime and Punishment by Dostoevsky, I have been a fan of Russian literature, music, history, architecture and art. When I was in my late 20's, I thought I had died and gone to heaven when the history department at my high school decided to offer a course in Russian studies and then borrowed me from the English department to teach both the history and literature. And so the very first time I paid heed to anything DWTS was when I read (People mag) about a Ukrainian dancer (Maks) reconnecting with another Ukrainian dancer (Karina) on whom he had had a crush before either of them came to the states. While I did not begin to watch the show (At the request of my younger son who is Maks's age, our family had canceled cable when he Maks were 15), Maks was now on my radar as was his romance with Karina.
Then a couple of years ago my life changed and I found myself with access to cable for about 18 months. I watched how Val worked with Zendaya and was so impressed with how he worked with this very beautiful teenage girl. Maks, along with Anna, was part of the Argentine Tango, and Val and Zendaya got the firs 10's of the season for that dance. And as I have shared before I decided to do some reasearch on Val after season 16 and in the process learned a lot about Maks.
One compelling difference between Maks and virtually everyone else is that he did not have a choice about dancing, not if he cared about what was going to happen to his family. Meryl and Charlie's moms, as well as Meryl's dad, made it very very clear that anytime either Meryl or Charlie wanted to quit, their parents would have backed them and allowed them to quit. I am sure that this is true of not all but the majority of celebrities or pro dancers on DWTS. I doubt that the immediate financial welfare of their respective families was placed on their shoulders as well as on their dad's shoulders. But we live in a culture where parents get bad press for insisting on guiding a son or daughter to do something for the good of the family and put their own interests aside. So many times, I have read that Maks needed to ignore his dad or his mom and pay attention to himself. ("It's A Wonderful Life" is much more in keeping with Papa Chermkovskiy than with conventional pop culture advice.) Having said this, I am so glad that Rumer is as good a dancer as she has proven to be and I am hoping that she and Val win. Val, I think, was Maks' first student. And Maks made sure that Val got some opportunities to explore and become good at other interests. Remember the thank you about Maks that Val sent out in May of 2014? So a win for Maks is a win for Val and a win for Val is also a win for Maks.

Annie I meant to ask you...are you having any problems from any of the storms that have been out your way? I have been thinking of you and hoping you were ok!!!
Well, one of my windows in the living room was broken somehow and there was glass ALL OVER the patio. I can't imagine any of the rain we've had doing that because we haven't really had any storms here. Maybe it was a bird that hit it, but I don't think a bird would be that strong. Someone came out today to look at it; they will call me tomorrow to tell me how much. My homeowner's insurance for windows has a $1000.00 deductible!! Thank goodness the windows are double-paned, so at least the window opening is still covered. It must have happened when I was not at home or was asleep; I never heard a thing.
Well I am glad that you are alright and only a window was broken by what ever is was that broke it!!!!
Thanks! A guy came out yesterday to look at it, and I got a call this morning with a quote of $325, so that was good. I was expecting it to be much more but didn't tell them that!!

Good Morning everyone.
This is lupine, isn't it jet?Never knew they were so pretty and came in so many colours. Have been buying cracked lupine seeds in big bags as a feed supplement for our sheep at the end of summer.
I have seen the show - truly amazing dances. Such a shame that Noah couldn't perform at his best. Rumer and Val came across the best imo in the packages and on the dance floor. It seems Len favours them. He did so too when MnM won. I wonder if that means that they have got it. I will be able to follow your comments as our school has a pupil free day.
This is interesting to me, gabriele! Seeds as supplements. I love a large patch of lupine. I had never seen them to my knowledge until we bought the cabin in MN about 22 years ago. Down the road and around the bend to maybe less sandy and more fertile ground, with fewer trees, more sun....there is a place with hundreds of them growing in a low lying area, into the ditch, and spreading every year.
Why spreading" because in the fall they TWIST into a kind of spiral, and when their seed pods open they SPEW the seeds.
I gathered a few from the ditch at the appropriate time I thought...just before the pods opened and took the home and broadcast them around the yard in a few places.
Nothing.
at all.
??
So very beautiful! Thanks.

HI KOS !!!!!!! I see that you are signed on. I would love to stay and chat, but I have to run a few errands before the rain begins again. We haven't "dried" out from the last batch of storms. LOL Hope to see you and a lot of sisters for tonights "crowning".
Hi Luv,
I will make it a point to be logged in tonight and watch what I can on all access live stream.
May is one of my two favorite months weather wise and October is the other. May, at this point has had very little May like weather. Lots of overcast and chilly days. In one ten day stretch we got April weather, March weather and even June weather. Hope you all have a breather and get to dry out after this round of storms.

Can these people ever play nice? They did the same thing to Alfonso and look how that worked for them. I suppose none of Val's partners have ever had dance experience? Zendaya...*cough* *cough*

Yeah. And I'm sure Rumer has had absolutely no dance training whatsoever.
Val had freaking Kelly Monaco....the very first winner. He had Danika which on a normal season without olympic gold medalist ICE DANCERS (again, Alex, don't know what you are so miserable about, Maks won with an OLYMPIC GOLD ICE DANCER.....DANCER - but he wasn't calling foul then) anyways, Danica probably could have won or at least made the finals.
Val gets pretty darn good dancers almost every season. He should be happy he's not Tony.

And, Carrie, Rumer has been playing for quite some time now a ballroom dancer in FTR.
As Val joked early on in one of the interviews "she plays a not very good ballroom dancer, and she plays it well!" But even so, she has definitely taken dance, imo...and any other lessons, coaching, that money can buy. And to say she has never worked out...and then post pictures of herself on the Yoga Silks -
Why do they downplay any experience like that? It's still a mighty challenge to learn a new dance routine every week and do it well. Some one responded to Alex about Riker, "I took an art class when I was 16...doesn't make me Monet."
I'm in the camp that enjoy the show more if there is some real talent for dance, and some beautiful performances. In the world where they pick their "celebrities" won't they usually have a well rounded performance background to further their career resume? I think so.
