Why do they downplay any experience like that?  It's still a mighty challenge to learn a new dance routine every week and do it well.  Some one responded to Alex about Riker, "I took an art class when I was 16...doesn't make me Monet."

I'm in the camp that enjoy the show more if there is some real talent for dance, and some beautiful performances.  In the world where they pick their "celebrities" won't they usually have a well rounded performance background to further their career resume?  I think so. 

 

We all know there have been "stars" on there in the past 20 seasons that have had dance experience when they were younger...Some people just have to have something to say about everything...
I do like to see people like Noah, Robert or Sadie to name a couple, that have no dance experience (to my knowledge) and actually learn to dance...not just memorize the routine...

Ok I hear thunder and it is cloudy and sprinkling rain...this better be over by 8pm with no problems or I am going to flip!!!
