Evening Everyone....I am sorry to be so late with the baby news but I was waiting till I got all the news...hubby is a bit slow with the phone txting (he doesn't have a smartphone)....
Gianna Kathlene was delivered at 6:09 pm she weighed 7.1oz and was 18 1/2 inches long. Mother and baby are doing fine. My daughters blood pressure is pretty good and she is feeling ok, she said it took a bit longer this time to deliver than last (last time was an emergancy delivery). Hubby and my mother in law didn't get to see the baby till my daughter got into a room from recovery so that is what took so long.
So that is the news for me today!!!! We are all happy and thankful things went well.
And thanks to you all for all the prayers and good thoughts...You all are wonderful...Pretty name. Are they pronouncing Gianna the Italian way (Jonna) or the way Americans say it (Gee-anna)? I like Kathlene, too, and it is actually the Irish way of pronouncing Caitlin.
It is the Italian pronunciation. That is right about Kathlene.
Hope you are doing well Annie....

CONGRATULATIONS, CEK, ON YOUR NEW GRANDDAUGHTER! YEA!!
Enjoy every moment....and glad everything went well. Fifi is a nickname of endearment in our family. Our granddaughter Faith called herself that when she was small!
Thanks for the happy thoughts Jet. Fifi was given to the baby when my daughter asked her daughter what they should name the baby she said Fifi.
It is sweet.

GREETINGS from Lake Tahoe--a beautiful place for summer and winter activities! We arrived yesterday around 5 p.m.--after 9 hrs. in the car (including 2 stops). Kids traveled very well, considering the length of time and close quarters.
Today we had a great day with our daughter, SIL, the 3 granddaughters and friends of theirs (also with 3 kids) that we all vacation with here and elsewhere now and then. SIL's friend from college football team and my hubby are going fishing tomorrow (SIL does NOT fish but he does eat it!! LOL) at daybreak. We took the kids to Echo Lake--high up a one-lane road above Tahoe--to swim and check out the fishing conditions (not that great). Going up was worse than coming down for me (I would rather drive than ride on mountain roads)!! LOL Then we took the kids to this trout "farm" (they actually stock their lakes) where in about an hour, two kids and two adults snagged 9 trout ranging in length from 13" to 19"!! Hubby won the "Most Fish Caught" (5). Our 8 year old granddaughter caught 2 and 10 year old daughter in the other family and her mom each caught the largest (16" and 19"). SIL's friend, who does all the cooking and bartending when we are with them, cooked up about 6 of the trout in the oven along with baked potatoes and brown rice (the girls made a wonderful salad). It was a fabulous meal!
I will try to take a few pics of the local area and post tomorrow nite.
Meanwhile, hope everyone is doing well!
Hugs.....
Glad you made it safe. Enjoy you time there and try to relax yourself. I hear it is lovely there...

Isn't that a gorgeous picture...Makes you feel as if you are right there. Wish we were.
Btw, tango is there. She left a message on the other board. I think they wont be back for 2 more weeks.
I watched Hollywood Game Night -- kinda fun.
GOOD NIGHT ALL. (good morning gabriele)
