Well I am going to get ready for bed. I have a hair appointment in the morning, need a little snip to get it in shape and then I am going to get my eyebrows tinted...After I was diagnosed with Thyroid trouble all the color when out of my eyebrows and eyelashes...I look albino!!!! So I get them tinted instead of drawing them on that way I won't have to worry about doing them in Disney....
Hope you all had a wonderful day and will rest well tonight.
I will stop in before I go in the morning...
HUGS to you all my dear friends....

Hey, Ladies! Howdy to each of you!
We got home from Lake Tahoe last evening. Had a really busy day--delivery of new chairs, dog vet visit, church stuff this morning, and now it is 9 PM!!!
I thought I'd post a few pics from our journey yesterday with a few points of interest (maybe!) and some CA scenery.
Not the greatest photo of Lake Tahoe as we were heading out...Our condo was next to the lake.
Across the road from the condo complex is the ski run--the wide dirt strip at the top of the hill. Not impressive in summer!! LOL
When you get behind a very heavily loaded moving van, you can only go 9mph up this little hill!!
Mount Whitney near Lone Pine, CA--the tallest peak (14,000+' elevation) in the Sierra Nevada range. It is the tallest peak on the right side of the power pole.
And, yes, we do get rain (only occasionally) in desert areas of CA in the summer!! One of my favorite things is when you can watch rain from a distance; it's actually hitting the ground! Oftentimes it evaporates before it gets to the ground.
This rain was on the top side of the Cajon Pass on I-15 which is on the far east side of the greater Los Angeles basin near San Bernardino/Riverside.
A few points of Lake Tahoe trivia:
*It has been called a "700 year lake" because it would take 700 years to fill it with water!
*The Tahoe basin was formed 2-3 million years ago by geologic forces that created the Sierra Nevada and Carson mountain ranges.
*Lake Tahoe has a max depth of 1,645 ft. and is the 2nd deepest in the US; 10th deepest in the world.
*Lake Tahoe is one of North America's few terminal lakes (i.e. it doesn't empty into an ocean).
*The Truckee River is Lake Tahoe's only outlet--and it empties into Pyramid Lake in Nevada.
*Lake Tahoe is 22 miles long and 12 miles wide and has 72 miles of shorline and a surface area of 191 sq. miles.
*Tahoe is the highest lake of its size in the US with an average surface elevation of 6,225 feet above sea level.
Hoping to find some of you on the board this weekend. Hoping to be able to chat! Miss all of you!

Good morning, ladies.
Yes, Thank you Jet, for remembering us amidst your busy travels.
A water softener is being installed this a.m. So I will be absent as well. I'll check in later if I find something interesting to report.
Hugs and wishes for a wonderful Friday. It's National Raspberry Cake Day, btw. And National Systems Administrator Day! So, thanks go out to ours....if we have one.

We are not THAT lucky....but TANGO is....lol Can't believe she gets to dance with Maks for real. Oh well, I guess, I will just have to live with my Val CPR illusions. heheLOL...we will be with her in spirit.....LOL.....so does that mean in some really really small stretching it way we are dancing with him too??????
I like how you think April.
I like how you think, too, April! I'm not counting on actually getting to dance with him, but he will be leading some of the workshops I'm doing. I will certainly hope that at least one private lesson is with him, but I'm going to keep my expectations WAY down. Then I'll hyperventilate if it is him! There will be no doubt whatsoever at the end of this week that he will know exactly who I am!
