Build a Story...3 words at a time

O.k. sisters.  Here's the new thread that any of us can visit at any time.

The only rule is to use 3 words only to advance the storyline.  The words "a", "an", "the" are feebies.

And if you have added to the story, you need to allow at least 2 more sisters to add their words before you can add again.  That way there will be more fun and challenge.

Be sure to "quote" the last entry so that the story, as complete as it is, comes along with each post.

April and CEK got us started last evening.   Yay!!

You'll notice CEK used 4 words (gasp!!) but we'll let it slide this time

Ah, it is. It's the first day of autumn! A time for hot chocolatety mornings, and toasting marshmallow evenings, as best of all, leaping into *leaves*!

Back on ABC, I came to visit to see what was described as a message board.
What did others have to say about magical artistry and personal connection?
