Ah, it is. It's the first day of autumn! A time for hot chocolatety mornings, and toasting marshmallow evenings, as best of all, leaping into *leaves*!

This is a great interview. This man was prepared, polite, funny - talked skating and DWTS. Worth listening to for 25 minutes.[/quote888]
Right? I really enjoyed that. Man, I wish he gets the opportunity to interview Maks once. The guy is really good and well prepared.

Re: Dishin' With The Sisters: Lucky 21

There is apparently a correction for the dances for Monday night....Bindi and Derek have the Rumba and not the Mambo.  I thinkn the music is not quite right for the "rumba" but ...

Derek Hough Writes On New Dance With Bindi Irwin, Jennifer Grey Giving

TipsPosted on October 15, 2015 by Voguerista

Derek has written his new blog at TV Guide. Note how he and Bindi have “RUMBA”! Also, Jennifer Grey is helping them with the routine. So awesome. Go Derek and Bindi!!

[quote888]It feels great to be back with my baby! Pun intended! We have the rumba this week to Dirty Dancing. Normally, we can do our own versions of these dances, but they told us they want us to reflect the original as possible. We still have some freedom with it. The tough part is the lift, of course. I don’t normally do lifts and I never really have done those on the show. And this is a really difficult lift to do. We try every day and we’ve gotten really close. Yesterday, we went to a lake — and I use that term loosely. It was more of a smelly bog. It was in the Hills. There’s a little reservoir and it was so gross. The silt was like 3-feet deep. When you stepped in it, the bubbles popped. Believe me, I did not choose that location! But it was actually really fun.

And before you ask, yes, Jennifer Grey is giving us tips! She’s actually stopping by rehearsals today to check us out. We can’t disappoint her! I guess it was easy to give us Dirty Dancing because of my connection to Jennifer, but I think there are actually a lot of parallels between the movie and Bindi. Baby’s 17 in the movie and so is Bindi. Baby wants to change the world. That’s Bindi. Even Bindi’s laughs when she gets goofy are so Jennifer. She’s my Baby Bindi!

I am so curious who the pros will be next season.  It seems that a lot of people have loved having Karina, Anna, Louis back on the show.  And Anna certainly did the best she could with Gary, don't you agree?  Paid her dues.

I've liked them all as well....hope they come back. Have not missed Peta a lick...and if she is "busy" elsewhere, so be it!

I would love to see Anna, Karina, and Louis come back next season with stronger partners so they can stick around longer.

I agree with you on this Booky...it would be a nice addition to bring some "newness" to the show....I miss some of the older pros that are no longer on the show.

Hey, Sistas! Hope everyone is doing well.

Winding down after returning from a whirlwind trip to our daughter's for her 1995 NCAA national softball team's induction into the Humboldt State University (Arcata, CA) Hall of Fame. It was crazy busy the entire time! Players (and several players' parents) were in for the induction and related activities which included the Annual Alumni Softball Game and Homecoming activities. My daughter and another pitcher were captains that year so they were tasked with accepting the honor on behalf of the team and introducing the players. Brought back some amazingly wonderful memories. They made it very entertaining by using the coach's loyalty to the Marine Corps as the theme. The coach and his assistant that year (also a close personal friend of my daughter's) had commemorative t-shirts made up. The slogan on the back just tickled me...and still makes me smile. It says, "The older we get, the better we were." There is a saluting Marine underneath it. Very funny!!

In addition to those events, we went on a 1st grade field trip to the pumpkin patch, babysat the little one for 2 days, which was great, took the eldest to her horse back riding lesson and gymnastics, watched the middle one's soccer game, and even had time to start (but not finish!) the pink "Spider Girl" costume for the middle granddaughter. Funny, because she was deathly afraid of spiders until she had a Come to Jesus moment late one nite in July that required that I console her and straighten out the misconceptions that someone had put into her head. Suddenly she is no longer afraid of spiders and is going to be Spider Girl!! Go figure!!! Wonders never cease!

Hoping to be able to hit the MB more often--at least for the foreseeable future. Alot of things are still happening, but at least we have a bit more control of ourselves....perhaps!!

Hi Jet...missed you on Monday night.  Glad you are home and that you had a good time and made some wonderful memories...

Re: Dishin' With The Sisters: Lucky 21

Well my friends I must go for tonight...I just want to let you know that I will not be on probably all day tomorrow.  I have an "outpatient" procedure in the morning, so I don't know how awake and lucid I will be once I get home and I have to be at the hospital at 7:30...Will have to see what the afternoon and evening brings.

Have a wonderful night and happy dreams.
Till Tomorrow (hopefully)
HUGS
