Hey, Sistas! Hope everyone is doing well.

Winding down after returning from a whirlwind trip to our daughter's for her 1995 NCAA national softball team's induction into the Humboldt State University (Arcata, CA) Hall of Fame. It was crazy busy the entire time! Players (and several players' parents) were in for the induction and related activities which included the Annual Alumni Softball Game and Homecoming activities. My daughter and another pitcher were captains that year so they were tasked with accepting the honor on behalf of the team and introducing the players. Brought back some amazingly wonderful memories. They made it very entertaining by using the coach's loyalty to the Marine Corps as the theme. The coach and his assistant that year (also a close personal friend of my daughter's) had commemorative t-shirts made up. The slogan on the back just tickled me...and still makes me smile. It says, "The older we get, the better we were." There is a saluting Marine underneath it. Very funny!!

In addition to those events, we went on a 1st grade field trip to the pumpkin patch, babysat the little one for 2 days, which was great, took the eldest to her horse back riding lesson and gymnastics, watched the middle one's soccer game, and even had time to start (but not finish!) the pink "Spider Girl" costume for the middle granddaughter. Funny, because she was deathly afraid of spiders until she had a Come to Jesus moment late one nite in July that required that I console her and straighten out the misconceptions that someone had put into her head. Suddenly she is no longer afraid of spiders and is going to be Spider Girl!! Go figure!!! Wonders never cease!

Hoping to be able to hit the MB more often--at least for the foreseeable future. Alot of things are still happening, but at least we have a bit more control of ourselves....perhaps!!

JET HEY!!!  sounds like you have been super busy .......but it also sounds like you had a lot of fun  so glad you enjoyed it

OH and have you seen all the Skater goodness going around??????!!!!!!

Good evening, sisters.   Hope you've had a good day.  Gorgeous weather here, on the back side of the jet-stream.

Well, look what E online is reporting about Ms Miller.  We may have to change our boardgame somewhat, especially if she goes to jail.

http://www.eonline.com/news/706507/dance-moms-star-abby-lee-miller-indicted-on-fraud-charges-over-concealing-income

Ouch.....  what has me puzzled is how she hoped to get away with it when the activity this is based on (Dance Mums) is so public.  I guess we might find out. Btw, I thought she had lost a lot of weight?  What's with that?

I think this is an old pic, your right she did loose alot of weight

I guess having to stand trial would dampen anyone's appetite  (not aiming to be catty about it...., but still.....)

hmmmmmmm......I wonder if this could be the week Bindi struggles with the scores a bit.....they gave her a really iconic dance to do and it's one that is hard to redo....because it will always be compared to the Patrick Swayze Jennifer Grey one........hmmmmmmm

I was thinking the same....  Derek not doing lifts normally and Bindi not exactly being a feather weight.  Will see how it comes together.

I am thinking that in case of a surprise double elimination, I am the only one  with a chance to win an extra point.  Not that I mind a little unfair advantage....

Signing out...
CEK, hope your procedure goes smoothly and you won't be too uncomfortable afterwards.
I guess, if we can still change finals predictions, there was no point having a cut off time in the first place.  You might have to do major sucking up to view there, CEK!!

CEK...best of luck and quick recovery from your procedure.   We'll miss you mightily if you're out of commission all day.

Good morning sisters.  TGIF !!
I think I've caught up on posts and picks for next week.  You're right, gabriele...no more changes to the Final 3, (I am unsuckupable)
but I think most of us are very unsure who to even pick for Top of the Leader Board.  I hope to see a little more info leak out about how rehearsals are going, etc.
