Just catching up before the show starts. Hope to be on for most of it. Of course, will need to take a quick supper break when hubby gets home later.
Hope everyone has had a great Monday. I just went to the P.O. and the TRAFFIC was HORRIBLE!! Of course, it was about the time the HS kids were getting out...but nowhere to park at the P.O. so had to park at Home Depot and walk over!!! Glad for the exercise; it's not far.

Hope you had a wonderful day!!!!
THANK YOU SO MUCH, CEK!! Very cute!! I was sorry not to be able to wish you a Happy Anniversary yesterday, but I was thinking of you. So here's back at ya!! xx oo
Funny thing about the minions. About 2 months ago when I was in SD with the grandkids, my grandson told me how much he really wanted a goldfish--and asked if I would buy him one. Granddaughter had wanted a goldfish for a while but their mom didn't want any fish. So when he asked me, I said, "SURE!" You wouldn't have believed how ELATED the child was!!!
They had a fish bowl that they got out (they had fish once or twice before) and we headed off to Petsmart. So $.89 later for THREE (feeder) goldfish (!), before we even got to the cash register, my grandson had named 2 of them Bob (his) and Kevin (mine--although I didn't know I was to become a goldfish owner before that second!) for the like-named minions!!!!! LOL Granddaughter named hers GoGo. Last time I was there....AMAZINGLY!!! LOL....Bob, Kevin, and GoGo were all still alive and well!!!! The family has been in DC and NYC for 10 days, so will get a "fish report" after they get back!!! LOL Eleven year old boy across the street was going to be doing the dog and fish-sitting, so we'll see if he gets and A in goldfish care!!! LOL

Happy birthday, Jet. And Happy Anniversary (correct?) to you and your hubby, CEK
Thanks, View!
I saw your post the other day about the haboob, but haven't had a chance to respond. Those things are quite incredible and occur fairly frequently in the AZ desert. Interestingly, I don't recall dust storms of that magnitude when we were growing up in NM....maybe because the Rocky Mountains, which bisect the state along the Rio Grande, might break them up, maybe? I'm only guessing. We had plenty of dust storms--and it is common to see dust devils...mini-tornadoes--rise off the desert floor when it's hot and windy. Haboobs occur in conjunction with thunderstorms; the danger is mainly in loss of visibility, I gather.
You might enjoy this bit from Channel 15 in PHX:
Dust storms can be some of the most dramatic weather events we see in the Valley each year.
Another word for a dust storm is “haboob,” which is Arabic for the word blown.
Haboobs are giant walls of dust created from high winds rushing out of a collapsing thunderstorm.
Cold air in front of the storm rushes down at an incredible rate, picking up massive amounts of dust and sand and blowing them into the air.
As the dust storm builds, it can completely block out the sun, making it nearly impossible to see just a few feet in front of you.
The wall of dust typically reaches heights between 1,500 and 3,000 feet and can stretch as far as 100 miles wide. To put that into perspective, that's the distance between Phoenix and Tucson.
However, the Valley has seen dust storms that are even bigger. On July 5, 2011, the biggest haboob ever observed in the Valley rolled in. It was estimated at over 5,000 feet tall and stretched the entire length of the Valley, from Goodyear to Apache Junction.
If you get caught outside during a dust storm, seek shelter immediately or you may be hurt by flying rocks and debris being thrown around by winds up to 50 mph.
If you’re driving when a dust storm hits, remember to pull off to the right, take your foot off of the brake and turn off your car’s engine and lights. Wait there until visibility improves.
The effects of dust storms can linger for days, worsening our air quality and causing many people difficulty breathing.

Surely gabriele is sleeping by now....is it 2 a.m. in her zone...
But I saw this on the morning news and thought of her school chum who is vacationing in Arizona...Tombstone area.
Here's the article:
Have you been to Tombstone, View? One of my favorite places in AZ!!! Quite a travesty that happened....considering they have had over 65 years of accident free entertainment. Hope the gun lobby doesn't shut them down....but I'm also surprised that the owner didn't double check what was in the gun. People do make mistakes....pilot error in airplanes and car accidents usually result in injury or loss of life but people still fly airplanes and drive cars.

So my question is about the last comment....about marketing and making money. Is this how PJ products are going to be marketed, do you suppose??
