Hey View .....yes I did make it......it came out good......my family liked it .....but I don't know....to me it just still needed something....LOL....I just don't know what.....I am going to try making another one and adjusting some things.....I just want it to have more of a holiday spice type of taste......LOL....it may take me 2 or 3 tries to get it "just right"
and Cek.....it's just me playing around with an idea I got in my head to make a cranberry cake......I am just trying to get the flavors balanced right at the moment

Not sure if anyone is interested as Meryl and Charlie are not skating but theMusselman's Apple Sauce Family Skating Tribute is currently showing on TV. Scott Hamilton is skating with his son.......he hasn't been on ice for years.
Other Celebrity ice skaters performances by Ekaterina Gordeeva; and Ilia Kulikby & their children. Also: Sugarland's Kristian Bush sings.
Going to go watch now.
Oh man, I missed it, was it good???????

Love this man! Always have and always will! My observation and personal experience tell me that he is a gentleman, a gentle man, a hard worker, hugely intelligent, funny, passionate, and sensitive. Not perfect, no one is! But someone definitely worth admiring.
I've completely lost interest in DWTS. I watched mainly because of Val, and I'd like to see Sharna win her first mirror ball, but not enough to vote. I've only ever voted for Gilles Marini and Chmerkovskiy's.
The next 2 weeks are going to be so hectic for me. I'm in the office Mon. & Tues. We leave early Tues. for our regular dance lesson. Then hubby is taking me directly to the airport. I'll spend the night in a hotel nearby because I have an early flight on Wed. morning. (If I had to drive, I'd have to leave home before 4 a.m. and we'd end up with 2 cars at the airport after Thanksgiving) I'm meeting my friend, who's flying in from Kansas City, in LA and we're renting a car and driving to San Diego where we have a convention. The convention is the busiest for me, just after the one that I organize myself for my job.
We'll return to LA on Sunday morning and spend some time there. I have 4 hours of lessons scheduled at Sherman Oaks on Monday, and I hope to have at least one meal at Fratelli's while I'm there. Early Tuesday, I fly out to Denver to meet hubby and spend Thanksgiving with our son and new grand-dog. We fly home on Friday when our son has to go back to work. I have 3 days at home, including one in the office (although thankfully no jury duty!), and on Monday night we will go spend the night at the airport. Hubby has an earlier flight than me on Tuesday morning for a meeting in Washington.
My flight to Miami is late morning. We have been promised a special dinner with the DWM fam upon arrival. I think I will be beside myself with excitement. I have been working out to get ready and plan to keep up with no problem. I'm still working on being able to do 10 sit ups. Hubby is flying in late Friday night and will go to the Sat. evening show & after party with me, but he'll have an early flight on Sunday morning.
I'll post when I'm able, but certainly an update when I return. I may be too exhausted to do it while I'm there. I know in June, after returning to my hotel from 4 hours of lessons, I so wanted to take a hot bath, but I was afraid that if I got in the tub and relaxed, I wouldn't be able to get out by myself. And that would be too embarrassing.
Happy Thanksgiving to you all!
wow.....that wears me out just reading it....LOL.....you are going to have so much fun....I can't wait to hear your recaps So excited for you
it is coming close now

A little late for most of you, but mornings are the best in SoCal!
I can only describe today as "brrrrrrr"!!! Chilly wind blowing a gale! Forecast high of only 66 today, but colder than that with the wind chill. Since weather patterns flow from west to east, I presume this may be the backside of the storm across the Rockies and further east. We were supposed to get some rain or drizzle yesterday, but that never materialized!!! LOL At least it's supposed to get to 85 by Sunday!! We'll be in AZ for the weekend so warm, balmy weather here means the same over there....which is a good thing.
Our English friends arrive this afternoon, so I'm pretty sure I won't be available to chat this evening. Will be sorry to miss all of you, but RL intervenes, I'm afraid!! I will watch the show in real time, probably, as our friends watch the British version and like it!!! LOL Will check in tomorrow, I hope. Crossed fingers for our hero to make it one more week...especially in light of the Paris attacks. Same dude that planned this last attack also planned the train attack. ROCK ON, Alek--and stay SAFE!!
Have a wonderful day--and enjoy the chat tonite. I'll read it before bed.
xxxxxxxx ooooooo
Hi Jet *waving*.......enjoy your time with your friends and I am hoping for one more week from Alek too.....I just want to see his freestyle

A “Hollywood Landmark” Tom said this past Monday – here I was thinking the El Capitan Theater, or Hollywood & Highland…or something like that. But…I guess the Grove would be fine. It’s all decorated for Christmas. From the Grove’s Website:
Join us for a live taping of the season finale of ABC`s Dancing with the Stars at The Grove on Tuesday, November 24, and watch your favorite performers battle it out for the Mirrorball Trophy!
Taping will take place from 5:30 p.m. – 8 p.m.
Free and open to the public. Space is limited.
The Grove is GORGEOUS at the holidays. So looking forward to being at the A.G. store there after Thanksgiving iwth all the grandchildren (granddaughters anyway--grandson not interested!!! LOL). It is simply magical! I hope they show the background.
Is that where Fratelli's is???????........let us know if you spot anyone from the show

April, I'm going to post a cake on the other thread you might want to try. Cinnamon, orange, cranberries. Moist, delicious, retro.
