I poked my head in to the Ladies Room early this morning, but didn't see anyone. And no news much from twitter.
Thanks for sharing what you found, CEK.
Real Life is getting more and more hectic - but I enjoy hearing from you sisters every day, even if it's just to say Hello.
It's my daughter's birthday today...cake is in the oven. Her dad (my ex) calls every year at the minute she was born to wish me a happy birth day.

Guys,
On the other thread, if any of you have some suggestions for
board games, other games, other activities that you have enjoyed. That many generations could have fun with...
I'd appreciate it.
Looking ahead to Christmas Eve.

Happy Birthday to Views Daughter.
That is a nice sentiment of her father calling you on the minute she was born. Hope she has a great day.

Hi, all! Just a brief note before I leave for Sway on Monday evening (spending the night at the airport because hubby has a 8:30 a.m. flight). My flight isn't until 11 a.m., and I arrive in Miami about 3:30. I have almost everything laid out to pack--just my electronics and a few items that are still air drying. I'll be completely packed by tomorrow night so we can leave as soon as I get home from work at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
I have the schedules for the dance workshop and the ballroom boot camp. I haven't seen anything posted publicly anywhere, so I'm not going to be the first. But it is going to be both a lot of fun and a LOT of hard work. I hope my feet survive. I bought some expensive bath salts so I can soak in a hot tub, if necessary. I'll have to check out the pool hot tub to see if I have any sightings.
My lessons in Sherman Oaks went wonderfully. My teacher was fantastic and we accomplished a lot, I think. Elena was very welcoming. I didn't realize she had 2 little ones. She had the smallest one with her who can only have been a couple of months old.
We had fun for Thanksgiving. Hubby and my flights were on time and we met our son for a late lunch. Then we went and met the grand-dog. He is huge--110 lbs. He's a rescue and has some issues, but we went on a long walk with him, just talking to our son and gradually strolling closer to him. By the end, he let us scratch him and took treats from us. After that, we were fine.
On Wed., the weather was nice, so we got Sammy the Saint Bernard to jump in the hatchback back of our rental car, and off we all went to Estes Park. Bought our Thanksgiving pies there, and saw a herd of elk alongside the road. Didn't get out much because it was windy and already much colder.
On Thurs., we ate our turkey and fixings in our hotel room (a suite with kitchenette that I reserved on purpose). In the afternoon, we went back and got Sammy and snuck him up to the hotel room. He was a bit nervous, but in general, he is such a sweet dog. Saint Bernard's are by nature gentle and calm and sociable. But they shed--A LOT! And drool!
Sammy is about 5. They think he was on the street for a wheel before he was adopted by an older couple. He was playing, unsupervised, with their grand children and bit one of them. Who knows what they might have done to him. And he could have inflicted serious damage, so he only snapped and pinched--probably as a warning. Then he was with a foster family for 7 months before our son adopted him. But he has one bite against him, so my son has to be very careful not to get him in situations where he might misbehave again.
He tends to lunge at people and other dogs when he is surprised. My son has been practicing stopping his reaction before he lunges, and in a month, he has gotten better. Except for the TV. He lunges at the TV when there are animals, even cartoon animals on screen. A few days before we arrived, our son was taking a shower and left the TV on. Sammy lunged at it, knocked it into the wall, and it bounced back on the floor. He said there was a nose print on the screen with cracks radiating outward. Unfortunately, it didn't scare the dog.
When he was in our hotel room, we were watching a Jeff Dunham special, and he got very excited when he saw/heard Peanut! We had to turn the TV off for a while, but at least there were 3 of us to distract him. I think he'll turn out to be a great dog.
Back to Sway! I'm happy to see that Maks and Eugene are already in Miami. If I'm lucky, maybe I'll get to see him when I arrive on Tuesday. Don't know if he'll be involved with the dance workshop on Wed. morning, but I know at the latest I'll see him at the welcome dinner for everyone on Wed. evening. I wonder when Val is heading back. I am so excited, I want to throw up! I doubt I'll be able to eat much during the week, always a good thing.
I'll try to keep you posted at least a bit, but you will get a full round up when I return.
