I hadn't expected that Maks would take chances of booing or some such for this special occasion.  And we all know with Meryl there, there would be an  MnM contingent that feels animosity towards Peta.  But the reaction as far as I could make out in the video clip was overwhelmingly cheerful.  We need tango's exclusive on it.  Tango where are you?????????

OK WAIT AGAIN??????.......SO DID HE PROPOSE ON STAGE DURING THE SHOW???????

TANGO DID YOU SEE THE PROPOSAL??????   OH WOW.....so can't wait for your recaps

No, I did not "see" it because I could not bring myself to look, but I heard every word.  And gulping is mild to what I felt.  At the matinee, Maks had come out with the mike to thank Alfalit, and it was Henry's birthday and they had a cake.  After the evening show, he came out again, but at the end of it he called for Merv who had the ring on his finger.   When I saw him give the ring to Maks, I figured what was coming and could not watch.   I also knew something was up because I saw Eugene come up front near the end of the show, as well as Nicole and Mr. Gamer.  It seemed clear that no one in the family or on stage knew this was going to happen.   Everyone I spoke to or heard speak of it was very surprised, including Val, Mom, Grandma, Tony.  Now whether Amy knew, obviously Merv did, or anyone else, I don't know.

I was sitting with my husband, and bless his heart, he did not ask me why I was crying and did not even seem to notice.  Things have been going swimmingly, I've gotten 2 hugs from Maks, 2 from Tony, 1 from Val, 1 from Henry and 1 from Serge, not to mention Alex, Merv, and several other dancers, one of whom kisses me on the cheek each time he sees me.   I did 2 M&Gs, but I didn't go Sat. because hubby didn't want to and couldn't bring myself to go today.   I'm not yet ready to see them together off stage.

This afternoon's show was the best yet.  Everyone was on fire.  I had trouble watching MnM because it might very well be the last time they dance together.   I did manage to watch Peta a bit, and I have to say that Maks look happier today than I've seen him since my first Sway.   That is reassuring.   He deserves to be happy.

We did not stay long at the after party.  I got to almost everyone, including Grandma, but Val & Maks.  I was a little disappointed not to talk to Val because he's left already, but I know I will see Maks tomorrow at the bootcamp.   Not only that, but I won the private lesson with Maks in the silent auction and that will happen tomorrow after the bootcamp.  If I don't post again, you will know that I have died and gone to heaven.   45 MINUTES WITH MAKS!

Oh wow Tango!  That's wonderful! Now that's what I call a Christmas present.  Well done!

Thank you so much for updating.  I was wondering how you would react to the big news.  I am surprised that the family didn't seem to know that he was going to propose.  Especially Val, his Mom and Grandmother.

Now on to other things. LOL  Did you have a chance to ask "them" if they got the quilts that Jet and Gunner made?  I know that you said you missed some of the meet and greet/part of the after party, but I thought I would ask in hope that you got an answer.  They put in so much time and work, I just hate to think that they never got them.

YAY !!!!!!!!  I am glad that you won the dance lessons with Maks.  That will be a blast for you and will take your mind off "other things". LOL  Was this different then the auction where Rumer and Meryl offered themselves and/or skating lessons?  You better take lots of pictures and videos of the lessons. LOL  I am glad that you had a great time, other then "the surprise, shock".

Take care, and I can't wait to hear more of your adventures.

I will post a series of updates (probably won't have time this week to do it all at once) later this week---if I survive.  I was a little worried last night because my left foot was swollen.   It doesn't hurt, but it was swollen.  I didn't know if it was from dancing or from standing Sat. night for hours in heels.  Probably a combination of both, because my feet usually do not swell.  So I slept with it iced and on a pillow and it looks all right this morning.   I may ice it at lunch and before I see Maks, just to be on the safe side.

Unfortunately, I did not get a chance to talk to Meryl about the quilts.  I really don't want to ask Maks, esp. now.  There were a lot of people around and I only had a brief moment with her.   I just told her that I loved to see her dance in the show, and I loved how she took that role in the first part and made it her own.   I also said I loved to see her dance with Maks.

Well, off to Sway some more!

Sorry, I had to use this.  I haven't laughed so much in a long time.

Re: Season 21 - Countdown to the Finale

Good Monday Morning my Friends...
Just wanted to stop in for a quick HI before I head out to my doctor appointment...

Hope you all have a great day and I will see you later this afternoon.

Ah, it is. It's the first day of autumn! A time for hot chocolatety mornings, and toasting marshmallow evenings, as best of all, leaping into *leaves*!
