Phew...... 43 C forecast for tomorrow (=109.4 F) and my little guy wants to have a turkey for Christmas. I'm not ordering one just yet! We have been spared from fires today; it wasn't very windy, despite the heat. But lives were already lost in our state, about 50 km away, at the end of November, when it wasn't even summer on the calendar yet. Then we had days that were a little less hot, but with strong winds. Today was 'only' an extreme fire danger day. We have a 'catastrophic' rating for the real tough ones. I keep our important documents/external HD in a bag ready to leave at a moments notice when we get these.

Morning Everyone...
Hope your night was peaceful and not spent having "nightmares" over what you haven't done and need to to in a week!!!!
My computer is still not feeling well and I will be on the phone with the tech shortly.
I know our "party" is tonight, and I may be a bit late...I forgot I had an event to go to with my daughter-in-law this evening at 7:00 (and I really don't want to go but I already told her I would) and am in hopes to be home before to late, she has some treat bags to get together for Kaleb's class tomorrow so I know she will not want to be out late.
A quick check of the news, and then it is off to "real life"

Over a dozen championship skaters and gymnasts dazzled a crowd at the NIU Convocation Center.
2014 Olympic ice-dancing champions Meryl Davis and Charlie White, and 10x World Champion gymnast Simone Biles among those performing. Even the hosts were star studded, from Kristi Yamaguchi to Michael Weiss.
Wednesday’s show combined both gymnastics and figure skating in a one-of-a-kind event that excited both the fans and performers.
“I’m really excited because I want to be a gymnast and do the stuff that they do here,” said McKenzie Koch, a huge fan of Simone Biles.
“I think it’s very unique because our sports are so unique, and to be brought together like this is an amazing thing,” said Simone Biles about the event. She added that this is only the second performance of this kind she has participated in. Biles was also just named Athlete of the Year.
“There are a lot of similarities between the sports,” said Charlie White, 2014 Olympic Champion in Ice Dancing with his partner Meryl Davis, “and the differences are really outstanding for both of us to see.” White and Davis told Eyewitness News they are leaving for Italy tomorrow and then have a show in Florida before Christmas.
This is the first time NIU has held an ice skating event inside the convocation center. It took three days to put the ice down, but should only take one day to remove.

Well there isn't anything really to bring over since my posts last night, with that I will head to the struggles of "real life" knowing there is only a week before Christmas....
