Oh and well....LOL.....every time we talk about taking it one day at a time that old show from the 70's with Valerie Bertinelli comes to mind...LOL....(by the way I would love to see her on DWTS)......but any way.....you guys know I love my theme days and well to help pass the weekend as we are waiting .....tomorrow I am going to do a flash back to the 70's and One Day at a Time theme....LOL
....it's my odd way of reminding myself to take this all one day at a timeLUV DO YOU THINK YOU COULD MAKE A "ONE DAY AT A TIME" CAKE TOMORROW????

I am going to go try to catch up real quick![]()
"Ride the tide", a day at a time, and driving "webby" crazy with the word "odd" brings a smile to my face. Thanks, April. And thank you for allowing us to share in your journey with your daughter, our niece. Brene Brrown (Have you all watched any of her videos, including conversations with Oprah, or read any of her books?) notes that based on her research and also her decision to change how she lived her life based on that research, the best thing we parents can do for our children is to be brave. And you are brave so is your daughter. And so I was thrilled when I watched Disney's 2015 live version of Cinderella and heard this motif repeated throughout the story: "Have courage and be kind."

Hi view, good to hear you are enjoying yourself. I'm very interested when you get to the silver smithing part. My experiences in felting are somewhat limited and mostly unintentional.Sometimes I give a skein of wool the washing machine test when I'm unsure if it is worth my time in knitting it up. I have accumulated a selection of 'river rocks' this way, which I keep, thinking one day I will have a creative idea for these 'fur-felt balls'.We are booked in with 'muscle'-Michael in a fortnight. My little guy has hypermobile joints and very low muscle tone, which happens quite a bit in children with autism apparently. He has dislocated one elbow four times already, but we need to find a physical activity which is safe for him to do to strengthen him.
Gabriele, wow, I did not know this. Of course I know very little about autism compared to you and to the mom of the 23 year old autistic son whom I have often hung out with when his mom is teaching. He is able to play basketball. And about two months ago he moved into home for adults who are autistic or have downs syndrome. He is doing exceptionally well, much better than his mom had expected. You and my friend have my undying admiration and respect for keeping your boys with you and giving them so much love and attention physically and emotionally. Here's to finding activities that will help him strengthen his bones and joints.
yes I so admire the strength and courage you have ....just hearing how you handle his needs encourages me as a mom....thanks for that (((hugs)))......I think of you and him often too and as Kos said .....Here's to finding activities to help strengthen his bones and joints

Naw, thanks KOS and April. We just deal with whatever we have to do. It's what mumma bears do, right? Thinking of you and our niece daily, April, even if you don't post. Trying to pick my brains for our 70s retro party, April. TV was limited and still black and white, until the 1972 Olympic games in Munich for which my parents decided to buy a colour TV set. The neighbours then came to watch the opening ceremony with us. I remember the full living room and my mother not quite impressed having to host instead of enjoying the special occasion. We lived only about 100 km away from Munich at the time and one of my aunties moved into an apartment in the Olympic complex after the games. It was beautiful accommodation in these times. But everyone will remember the architecture for all the wrong reasons, i.e. seeing the masked terrorists on the balconies. The US and Canadian figure skating championships are on this weekend. Will be tuning into the life stream when it starts. Pairs short program should be on in a bit, if I get the time differences right. Canadians,

Will have to go and fix lunch for us. It's noon. You'll have a lovely evening, ladies. Another of my 70s memories is watching 'Bonanza'. But it probably arrived much later in Germany compared to when you saw it. And then of course the Beatles.....

TSN is apparently broadcasting it, so no dailymotions stream for this one. It has just started. I have to wait for my 'fix' until the vids are up on youtube.
