Naw, thanks KOS and April. We just deal with whatever we have to do. It's what mumma bears do, right? Thinking of you and our niece daily, April, even if you don't post.Trying to pick my brains for our 70s retro party, April. TV was limited and still black and white, until the 1972 Olympic games in Munich for which my parents decided to buy a colour TV set. The neighbours then came to watch the opening ceremony with us. I remember the full living room and my mother not quite impressed having to host instead of enjoying the special occasion. We lived only about 100 km away from Munich at the time and one of my aunties moved into an apartment in the Olympic complex after the games. It was beautiful accommodation in these times. But everyone will remember the architecture for all the wrong reasons, i.e. seeing the masked terrorists on the balconies. The US and Canadian figure skating championships are on this weekend. Will be tuning into the life stream when it starts. Pairs short program should be on in a bit, if I get the time differences right. Canadians,
awww...thanks
and yeah I think it will be a fun theme....LOL....I remember those black an white tv's too....and sometimes we had to put foil on the antennas or you had to hold it to get better reception

thanks for the heads up about the figure skating![]()
TSN is apparently broadcasting it, so no dailymotions stream for this one. It has just started. I have to wait for my 'fix' until the vids are up on youtube.

Sorry I missed you April...It is cold not like it was a a couple days ago but it snowed this morning, then sleet, now rain. The wind is really blowing and with the rain it seems colder than it is. It is suppose to get colder tomorrow and start snowing in the afternoon.
I know my daughter in DC said at 10 pm they had 6 inches already and it hasn't slowed down yet.
I am so glad things are going good, keeping my fingers crossed for Monday.

Good morning...having a wonderful time. Perfect temps.
Enjoyed my felting class. Same woman teaching it as did the "crocheted necklaces" class I took 2 years ago...retired Home Ec tracher from Ohio.
Not much time to even lurk up til now. But some of the bigger things to do or have someone else do around the townhouse are now done, so maybe tomorrow evening I can chat a little.
Did see happy news about our niece. Was wondering if gabriele's young man ever got to see the 'correct Michael' ?
Attended a community concert of the Claire Lynch Bluegrass acoustic band. Had never heard of her nor would I say it's my favorite type of music, but gosh the y were good....so much talent. Lots of fun and retirees are a great audience I would say.
Later.
