Glad CEK that you survived the storm. Sounds like a dozy. How did your daughter fair? I bet she will be digging out for awhile.
Hey Luv...we did ok here...only about 2 inches there was some sleet and freezing rain but nothing like just north of us...I think my daughter in DC had over 3 feet...I know my SIL parents live near DC and they had about the same amount.
How is your weather there?Wow, sounds like they will be digging out for days.
The pictures showed on the news look bad. We have been extremely lucky so far this winter. We have had several cold snaps of highs not getting above freezing, but most of the snow has missed us. The storm hitting the East brought some ice, but that was cleared off by the next day so no bad driving conditions. I am so surprised with this winter, not at all what we usually get. I am kind of afraid of a big "something" happening at some time. lol This winter has been a "strange" one, that is for sure. We are suppose to get close to 50 today and then I think maybe around 60 possibly for next weekend.....which is unheard of for January/February lol We will see...the weatherman has been "off" this whole winter season, all of the big storms forecasted at the last moment change direction and miss us. lol
This has been the strangest winter here as well..We are suppose to be around 60 next weekend as well, which for us is odd too. Some of the snow removal vehicles in northern Virginia have broken and they are saying it could be several days before they can get out and clear the secondary roads. Some of the people can't even see their cars or open some of the doors. I saw a couple pictures my SIL's father sent him and their deck is covered up to the railings...Thats a lot of snow.

Dancing With The Stars Season 21 Tour - The Colosseum Windsor Ontario
Thoughts & Musings On The DWTS Tour & Professional Dancers!
You all might know Al Kahn aka @Idolxfactor1 as he does a lot of videos for fans during the on and off season of Dancing With The Stars. This past Friday night he saw the Dancing With The Stars Live “Dance All Night” show in Windsor, Ontario. He told us “it did not disappoint” from the amazing sets, the awesome choreographed routines, and the fun audience participation throughout the entire 2 plus hours. He also thought it had clever scripting for how they got Alek Skarlatos involved. Al has written an awesome review of the show at his site. Be sure to read it at IdolXfactor.com. He’s posted a huge gallery of photos and some video too. A must read and see when you get time! If you haven’t seen the show yet, be sure to get tickets here. Photo below courtesy of @Idolxfactor1. THANKS Al!!!
“After watching & promoting dancers for the past 6 years….the overriding message I get from these dedicated artists….they truly adore what they do & when it comes to performance, there is no place they rather be then on stage pouring there hearts out & giving every ounce of emotion they can muster to us!!” – by Al Kahn aka @Idolxfactor1

The weather seems to get stranger and more unpredictable here as well. A lot of records over the last couple of years, the hottest in..... the driest in...... A couple of months back, we had something like a mini tornado about 50 km east of where we live. Absolutely unheard of so far. With Monday well on its way here, I will be keeping my fingers crossed for improved counts for our niece. xox

I agree with you Gabriele that the weather is very unpredictable. Cold this morning in the 20's then near 50 for the afternoon then 60 then back to 40 on Wednesday...I don't ever remember a January quite like this one.
I share your thoughts for our niece...fingers are crossed...
