Four or five years ago at a New York Alumnae Association annual gathering in Beverly Hills (we went with friends from NY), we rubbed shoulders with Shirley Jones out on the patio. She is gorgeous, gracious, and elegant! I was totally impressed with her persona. It was difficult to take my eyes off of her...she had such a presence, yet she never spoke a word. She is married to someone who is/was a musician (I think) with the gray haired pony tail, etc. He was there with her....just seemed like an odd couple, but they've been happily married for years. I read some comments she wrote saying that he made her laugh and had all the right attributes for a successful marriage, so more power to them. Can't judge a book by its cover!

I just went on wikipedia to find out the name of Shirley Jones' husband. It was Marty Ingels...and found he died last October. Apparently they had a stormy marriage, were separated more than once, but remained married and she said she will miss him every day for the rest of her life. She is 81 now....but you wouldn't know it! Amazing lady.
