Hi April and Jet and any other sisters who may come on board the short while I am on.
Several months before you shared your difficult news about your daughter, our niece, I had a much older friend who like your daughter, was diagnosed with cancer, in her case a particularly virulent form of lung caner. The doctors could find no cause and were stumped because she had none of the habits or characteristics of someone who gets lung cancer. When you first posted about your daughter, I thought of her. She has just turned 51 and last Thursday (12/31) as a complete surprise from out of the blue, she and her hubby, along with their daughter who is just a couple of years younger than our niece, paid me a surprise visit. They have moved back to the Chicago area from Arizona and surprised me with dinner at our favorite Chinese restaurant where "everybody knows all our names." I had not seen them in ten years. Here is the good news: the cancer is gone. Of course they will only really know this at her five year check up. Lots of people were praying for her and still are and lots of people are praying for our niece and still are. "Yea though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, thou are with me."
Jet, even though we did not get to see the picture, you did a wonderful job of word painting, and it enriched my day. I had two phone calls and a visit from the first line of this post until now. I will probably hit submit and find both of you gone.

What an uplifting story, KOS....and how lovely that your friends came to take you out for Chinese food (Yum!). Hope it was tasty and that your friend continues to be cancer free.
And to continue Ps.23, I know that April also knows: "Thy rod and thy staff comfort me."
