Good Thursday Morning Sister!!!!
Sorry I was off last night. My computer was doing updates that seemed "forever" and then we watched a few shows we had recorded....
Luv and all of you that watch....What did you think of Castle Monday night?????
I also wanted to tell you that my daughters dog was at the vet yesterday. Here is the short version....
She is a Rottie named Isabella, Bella for short. She is 10 and has had some problems with her leg, arthritis mostly, but we discovered like all of a sudden a very large swelling on her hip. They took her to the vet last week and drew some fluid out but it didn't seem to be anything to worry about but her vet wanted her to see an orthopedic for a possible problem with her meniscus in her knee....so at the appointment with the orthopedic we have found there in fact it was her meniscus along with her ACL which will require surgery and extensive rehab... but the bigger concern was the "cyst" type swelling on her hip. It was decided that we would try to remove it to see what that showed before taking on the task of the surgery on her ACL and Meniscus. Her surgery to remove the cyst was yesterday and it was not as easy as her vet had hoped. It was quite large and was somehow in the muscle. He got out what he could and sent it off for a biopsy. There was also a little growth in her mouth that came out without problem. So depending on the report of the biopsy will determine the next course of treatment that she will have. Not sure why I just spilled out all this to you, but if you could send a little prayer for her I would appreciate it...She is such a sweet and gentle thing. I know people say she is just a dog, but she is a member of the family too!!!!

'DWTS': Maks, Val salute show →
valchmerkovskiy:
If it isn’t enough that “Dancing With the Stars” begins a new season this month, the brothers Chmerkovskiy are going to play Orlando.
“Maks & Val Live on Tour: Our Way” stops June 22 at downtown’s Dr. Phillips Center. The tour is about the lives of the two professional dancers away from “DWTS.”
Maks Chmerkovskiy, who won “Dancing” with Olympic ice dancer Meryl Davis, is preparing for the tour. Val Chmerkovskiy, who won the show with actress Rumer Willis, will compete this season with Ginger Zee of “Good Morning America.”
The brothers’ victories were two of the most entertaining in the series’ history, and the siblings concluded a recent conference call with reporters by paying tribute to the ABC show.
If “Dancing” is a favorite, you know it can delight, confound, inspire. The brothers, who were born in Ukraine, shared how the show changed them.
“The fact that we are here is by virtue of ‘Dancing with the Stars,’” Maks said.
He said he laughed at the first opportunity to join the show, because he was busy competing as a pro dancer. When he did sign on, “DWTS” boosted him in unexpected ways.
“We would probably most likely not have an opportunity to have a stage show,” Maks said. “[We’re] two dudes who are not singers, who do not have top albums out there — we’re not Donny and Marie Osmond. We’re not those types of siblings. We wouldn’t be able to get this platform, and we would not be able to have people want to buy tickets and come see us do our thing.”
Val stressed that “DWTS” was about more than winning. “'Dancing with the Stars’ is not an ego show for me,” he said. “The biggest thing that is has done is give me a platform to help influence and inspire other people.”
Val spoke fondly of working with Willis, daughter of Bruce Willis and Demi Moore. “She’s got famous parents, but the reality is that for me, she was just a person,” he said. “This journey allowing her to grow into a woman of confidence, self-belief, strength — that’s the biggest gift this show has ever given me.”
In the season starting March 21, the show has drawn on the NFL and enlisted Von Miller, Antonio Brown and Doug Flutie. The show has turned to vintage series and lined up Kim Fields of “The Facts of Life,” Mischa Barton of “The OC” and Jodie Sweetin of “Full House” (and now “Fuller House”).
“DWTS” pulled from TV news: Geraldo Rivera of Fox News Channel and Zee of “GMA.”
The field also includes UFC fighter Paige VanZant, “America’s Next Top Model” winner Nyle DiMarco, singer Wanya Morris of Boyz II Men and actress Marla Maples, former wife of Donald Trump.
If viewers are lucky, several celebrities will emerge as confident, consistent dancers. Maks recalled that in the beginning, he didn’t give the show too much credit at all. Then he received a letter from a woman who revealed she had contemplated suicide until she saw him perform a tango with actress Tia Carrere, his first partner on “DWTS.”
The woman wrote Maks that she was so touched by that tango that she kept watching the show — and realized she was crazy to want to end it all.
“Long story short, she credits me with stopping her from suicide,” Maks said. “It’s insane the amount of love that we get, the amount of support that we get in the last 10 years from ‘Dancing with the Stars’ being what it is. It’s a huge responsibility, and it’s a huge opportunity to continue to relay amazing messages.”
Through the tour, Maks hopes to reach “some kid in the audience who is going through hard times, being bullied in school. I was 6'2” when I was 14, but I was still bullied in school. I was still a ballroom dancing boy who didn’t speak English in a Brooklyn public school with 5,000 kids.“
Maks hopes that fans see how far the brothers Chmerkovskiy have come. “We want to inspire and do our best,” he said.

Ginger Zee on DWTS and Raising Newborn Adrian: ‘He Turned Over and I Learned How to Turn!’
Zee is a first-time mom to 3-month-old son Adrian Benjamin...
valchmerkovskiy:
Ginger Zee is a meteorologist, mom and now contestant for the upcoming season of Dancing with the Stars. But what’s the job that keeps the anchor, well, anchored? Her new baby boy, Adrian Benjamin!
Zee is a first-time mom to a 3-month-old son with her husband, NBC news correspondent Ben Aaron.
“He turned over!” the beaming mom, 35, told reporters on Tuesday. “He turned over and I learned how to turn! It’s really good.”
In fact, Zee thinks motherhood will give her an advantage against her competitors.
“I think there’s a lot of new moms out there that are going, ‘I don’t know if I can do that,’ but I think hopefully being a role model will [help]. Women get asked that all the time. ‘How are you gonna do it all?’ … It’s just underlying,” she said after the full DWTS cast was revealed. “We’re just doing it. There isn’t a question of ‘How are you gonna do it?’ ”
And partner Val Chmerkovskiy has learned some new things about parenthood as well.
“I’m familiar with the pumps now, which is very unusual,” Chmerkovskiy said of his partner using a breast pump before rehearsal.
“Women will say — I travel and breastfeed — ‘Well, how are you going to do that?’ ” she told reporters. “A lot of people do it! [Val’s] just gotten used to it. And it’s just a part of life. You walk in, you start pumping and get it out, and then I’m ready to practice!”
Chmerkovskiy said Zee is definitely showing him the parenthood ropes, which he hopes to experience soon — just not too soon.
“We have a great friendship already and she’s filling me on all those motherly duties,” Chmerkovskiy, 29, said. “I hope to be a father very soon — hopefully not very soon, but soon. Like, planned soon.”
He added, “That’s the best part about the show: you get paired up with a stranger and three months later, you have a lifelong friendship.”
Zee, who returns to work on the New York set of Good Morning America next Monday, is already figuring out how to be there for Adrian while she’s filming the competition series in Los Angeles.
“I think the baby will come with [me to L.A.] sometimes, which is gonna be great,” Zee said of her bicoastal commitments. “And then the other times, it’ll be such a quick trip that it’ll be in and out. There are a lot of moms that travel for work, so I think just taking notes from them and learning.”
