Good Thursday Morning Sister!!!!

Sorry I was off last night. My computer was doing updates that seemed "forever" and then we watched a few shows we had recorded....

Luv and all of you that watch....What did you think of Castle Monday night?????

I also wanted to tell you that my daughters dog was at the vet yesterday.  Here is the short version....
She is a Rottie named Isabella, Bella for short.  She is 10 and has had some problems with her leg, arthritis mostly, but we discovered like all of a sudden a very large swelling on her hip.  They took her to the vet last week and drew some fluid out but it didn't seem to be anything to worry about but her vet wanted her to see an orthopedic for a possible problem with her meniscus in her knee....so at the appointment with the orthopedic we have found there in fact it was her meniscus along with her ACL which will require surgery and extensive rehab... but the bigger concern was the "cyst" type swelling on her hip.  It was decided that we would try to remove it to see what that showed before taking on the task of the surgery on her ACL and Meniscus.  Her surgery to remove the cyst was yesterday and it was not as easy as her vet had hoped.  It was quite large and was somehow in the muscle.  He got out what he could and sent it off for a biopsy.  There was also a little growth in her mouth that came out without problem.  So depending on the report of the biopsy will determine the next course of treatment that she will have.  Not sure why I just spilled out all this to you, but if you could send a little prayer for her I would appreciate it...She is such a sweet and gentle thing.  I know people say she is just a dog, but she is a member of the family too!!!!

HI CEK !!!  I didn't watch Castle last Monday, but read all of the spoilers about the episode.  So Castles missing time has to do with Becket's latest quest.  Humm....hope they work the case together and not each doing their own thing.

___________

For you daughter's dog
Yes, they may just be a dog......but like you said....they are family too.  Hope everything turns out okay.  Let us know when the results come in.

Good evening, or should it be good night, dear sisters of this traveling message board.  I have just returned from a brief trip with my son, the singer, to see my husband who has battled bi-polar illness since 1977.  There is a very, very long story here because beginning with Feb. of 2015, for the first time since the spring of 1977, my husband has been free of delusions. The most difficult years of this entire journey have been the past ten years, with an emphasis on the past four years, two of which I have spent with you all on this board.   My younger son, the singer, has never known his dad when his dad was well.  So I was glad that he was with me because even though his dad is not in good physical shape at all, he is back to being himself, the man that I fell in love with and married in 1964.  He turned to our son and said, "Our family has been shattered.  I am so sorry.  I want to see healing."  And then, for the first time in 26 years he looked at our son, and said, "I want to pray for you, for us as a family. I am so sorry for the things that I have done to hurt the people I most love."

This beautiful song I am posting is for everyone, but it is especially for you and our niece, Annie,   As a teen I loved this song and this recording, so it is dated.  My mom always put music on in the morning as an alarm for her five children.  No jarring alarms.  And this was often the song.   I was happy to find it on You Tube.3:40Dick Anthony's 16 Singing Men - "He Giveth More Grace"Norman Borge

That's such a touching story.   I am glad that he makes amends now.  My father who passed away last year had bipolar disorder too.  He was diagnosed in the early 80s after my brother and I had moved out at ages 16 and 18 respectively.  The signs were there all throughout my childhood, i.e. there were years of him not talking to me during childhood.  We lived in a small country town then.  Unfortunately there was such a stigma attached to mental illness and divorce that our mother's aim was to hold it all together and pretend all was well.  To this day, I am convinced that living her life like that make her sick and ultimately lead to her untimely death.   It never came to your kind of happy ending.  My Father had a stroke some years ago and was unable to talk thereafter.  He had lived in the same place for half a century, but the people who came to his funeral could have been seated around my kitchen table.  Sad story....  So glad for your son to be able to make sense of it all.

I am so sorry, Gabriele.  And I want to thank you for sharing some of your story.   To be quite honest I have been preparing myself for the fact that my husband would never extend a real apology beyond "forgive me, but I didn't mean to hurt you" to our children.   He turned 74 on March 4; he lost his voice box to cancer in 2009; he has battled several forms of cancer since 1999; and he has COPD.  We have known that he could die at any time from any one of his health problems.  It has taken his watching how what he did in 2005 and 2006 has shattered his two sons lives and their relationship to each other to bring him to this point.   Gabriele, you are so right.  Just hearing a real apology begins to change the direction of the story.  While it does not make everything ok, the solid bricks of ice do begin to melt.  So I want you to know how very sorry I am that  you and your siblings never got to hear your dad take ownership for the anguish and pain he caused his family before he died.  Thank you again for sharing your story.  And you are an incredible mom period, but especially with your autistic son.  I am in awe.

Maks (Bergen County Interview when asked about the kind of woman he would like to marry.)  "I'm drawn to success.  I want to be somebody's fan, excited about her life, her career, her choices."

Re: New Year - New Beginnings

Afternoon Sisters....just wanted to check in before I start some supper...It has been a beautiful warm day here today and am hoping it continues for the long haul....Hope your day is going well too!!!

I got a PM from Tango this afternoon and she asked me to share her progress with you so she would not have to type one-handed again....

I'm doing great. Feeling very relieved about me arm and dancing. Virtually no pain and it's already pretty flexible. I think implant instead of repairing with screws--which dr discouraged--is less painful. i can already almost straighten and rotate about 1/3 of normal, so i'm sure with PT it'll come back.

Just talked to Sharlayne, asst mang. at Soho, She has signed me up for coaching sessions next week when we are there with Serge and David Thomas Moore. Yeah! I just hope they'll ignore my left arm.

I see the dr Monday a.m. and our flight to nyc is mon. evening. First lessons at 1:50 Tues. Mostly now I'm worried about staying in shape if i can't swim. Hopefully, when incision is healed, i cam get back in to run/exercise in the water, even if not to swim.

...so she seems to be on the mend....YAY
