Me too....my grandmother and hubby's grandmother were Irish (at least half!)....and it's my cousin's birthday tomorrow also!!!

Here is what happened to my computer....similar but worse!! My son convinced me that Windows 10 was easier to use than Windows 8 (although I had pretty much gotten used to 8 and it was fine with me). So after some consideration I concurred!! Bad idea!! He did all the downloading, etc. and it worked like a champ for about 2 weeks....after which I got LOCKED OUT. Blue screen (but no text on it), didn't recognize my password, didn't let me do anything. I was panicked and contacted him at work! He found online a source where someone had posted the "go around" (my phrase) to get back to Windows 8. In my dino-tech world this was all Greek to me, but I did manage to follow the instructions (all by myself, I might add!!!!) and I successfully got back to Windows 8. I will NEVER try Windows 10 again....but I do worry about some "automatic update" because there must be a problem when it is overlaid on top of Windows 8. I was just relieved that there was a solution and I wasn't the only one with a goofy computer!!!!! LOL

So there is a solution if you end up locked out....but I hope that isn't what you have to deal with! Good luck!

My suggestion is to just stick with what you have. My DIL found it easier to use than 8, but I got used to 8 and 10 seemed foreign!!! I guess dinosaurs really can adapt!!!! LOL

LOL....I am use to windows 8 and I like it....I would have thought about updating but I know several people who have gone to windows 10 and don't like it much

LOL....I am use to windows 8 and I like it....I would have thought about updating but I know several people who have gone to windows 10 and don't like it much

 If you like it, stay with it.  I really liked XP, but that computer crapped out and we had to get a new one!!!
