Re: New Year - New Beginnings

KOS,  We are from the somewhat the same era...   My mother would never have gone to church or any social function without a hat.  And she had a beautiful collection.

Gloves, of course, too.  And bag (purse) always matched or coordinated with one's shoes.

I wore hats every Sunday until I was 24, and nobody wore hats in DeKalb, Ill.  I was so sad, and now I own no hats.  I loved to buy hats and was particularly partial to picture hats.  I also wore gloves until I was 26 and had six pair to match different outfits.

I was not a hat wearer...except on Easter....but I remember some of the women from our church wearing them

Re: New Year - New Beginnings

HEY, SISTAS!!!  I'M HERE!!!

Do you like my hat??!!!!😂😂

I absolutely love him, and he’s an incredible person. We have this friendship that I have no doubt in my mind is a life-long friendship.  Getting a chance to know him away from training for Dancing With the Stars, I think we've gotten a chance to know each other in a different way, which of course just makes you closer. We fell in love, but our way. Maks

I love to see ladies wearing stylish hats, although my real choice would be a very functional and well-worn visor (that I wouldn't wear to church or a wedding, however).

Yep---I remember that as well.  When I was a flower girl at about age 5 or so in an uncle's wedding, I had the little "bag" as well to match the dress.
