How did things go today CEK?

Hey Luv...Thanks for asking...

I am sorry that I didn't put my update on yesterday, and I was going to do it when I got on for a minute in the afternoon but the phone was ringing and the the dog was wanting to go out so I just got off cause I couldn't concentrate....

I absolutely loved the orthopedic doctor yesterday he was very nice, gentle and had a wonderful bedside manor answering all my questions...and he is NOT surgery "pushy"...

The only think that is going to completely take care of the problems in my knee is to do a full replacement but he said that I didn't have to do it until I knew that I was ready to have it done and he said that I would know when that time was.  I got a cortisone shot in it and it feels a bit better in some area but not to much in the other...I can live with that for now...I do have a high pain tolerance which he said could be good and bad at the same time.  Good because I can take the pain but bad because I actually didn't know that my knee was in the shape it was in...he said most people with a knee like mine would be in terrible unbearable pain not even able to walk, so I guess I am lucky in that area...

So I am going to wait it out and see how it goes.  I know it is not good to wait until things get so bad that the repair is much more than it could have been, but right not is not the time...

I actually have two good women friends who had knee replacements.  Both of them had both of them (knees) replaced.  One actually had both done AT THE SAME TIME!

They function so well now and without pain.  One told me that the replacement should last 20 years or more.

Wishing you well, CEK.  No need to rush in to these things.  Oh.  The one friend, now that I think back, had gastric stapling or some such weight loss procedure.  She lost about 100 lbs. before she had the knee surgery as the excess weight was such a factor in the condition for her.  Not so true of the other gal.  But had worked as a nurse and nursing instructor - on her feet - for decades, and that may have contributed.

Morning View...I have know a couple people that have had them several years ago and did well ...I am going to wait to see what happens and I too need to loose this 20 pounds because I know that puts stress on my knees...

Who Do You Think is DWTS Season 23 Artem Chigvinstev’s Partner – How About Maureen McCormick?

The Dancing With The Stars instagram account teased on Artem Chigvinstev’s partner. Read below. Do you have some guesses? A fan named Kennedy wrote and said they think it’s Maureen McCormick. I looked up the hints and it’s true for how these hints fit. This Brady Bunch star has been on my wish list forever. I’d love to see her dance. So, what do you think in helping us to put it together and do you have other guesses that fit?
