Ah, it is. It's the first day of autumn! A time for hot chocolatety mornings, and toasting marshmallow evenings, as best of all, leaping into *leaves*!

Re: Seasons Come, Seasons Go... So Let's Dance Like We're 22

I hope everyones day was a good one.  I will try to post more tomorrow, I have just been so busy with "real life" that I don't know where the hours of the day have gone.

I am going to get ready for bed now.  I have an early morning, must take Oliver to the vet for some blood work.  He still is not doing good tonight.

I hope you all have a good night and sweet dreams

I probably won't be on till later in the morning or early afternoon.

Till tomorrow....HUGS

Good Morning to you all...Well last night was a good show for Latin Night...a bit early in the season I thought but it was good.

I hated to see Geraldo go as I felt he was sincere about being on the show and his positive attitude was great.  I personally had the feeling that Mischa's whole attitude and package about the show was a bit negative and like I said last night she just seemed like a "Debbie Downer" to me...Everyone else on the show has such positive and happy outlooks for the season.  I was sad to see Geraldo go.

I also, personally, thought the scores from some of the judges were a bit low and some of the remarks were a bit harsh for having Latin Week so early in the season.  Some of the Latin dances are difficult later in the season not to mention second week.  But who an I to make those assumptions...LOL

Ok on to the news....

thats what I thought that the Latin Dances are usually later in the season because they are harder.....TANGO.......I would love to hear your take on it, from a dancers perspective.....are the Latin dances harder?????? and better done at the end of the season than the beginning???

The Latin dances aren't necessarily harder as a group, but they do tend to be fast.   They used to always assign cha cha or fox trot in Week 1.   Those are the among the easiest dances to get through if you're not very good.   The hardest are always rumba because it's slow and has all the hip movement, samba for the same reason although it's faster and the rhythm is tricky to get right, and quickstep because it's so fast.   Paso doble is perhaps the easiest dance in terms of steps, because there aren't that many, if they can get the character right.   Rumba is hard for male celebs because it's a woman's dance, and paso is hard for the females because it's a man's dance.

I really don't think any of the dances are easier than others.   Some have a character that is more suited to a given celeb.

Re: Seasons Come, Seasons Go... So Let's Dance Like We're 22

Hi to you all...Hope this finds you all doing well and that you had a good day.
It has been yet another visit to the vet today with Oliver and we will have to go back in the morning for more blood work and repeat x-ray.  They have yet to find the cause of his problems and I along with the vet are perplexed with the situation.  Oliver had a bad night last night and still has not eaten just a tiny bit last evening and that all came back...

I will make a quick peak at the happenings of today and then it is off to sit down, prop my legs up, grab the heating pad and a hot cup of tea.  I am sure I will not last long enough to watch the re-runs of Golden Girsl...LOL

PureDWTS Season 22, Week 3 – An Update on Mark Ballas

As we mentioned yesterday, Mark was seen around the rehearsal studio yesterday, which seems to indicate that he is still very much in the competition this season. Now we have a bit more behind-the-scenes info to share…

…according to a source, Mark is still injured, and given the nature of the injury, it seems potentially serious (I’m guessing they’ll share his diagnosis in the package on Monday). Mark is currently trying to rest his back as a result. HOWEVER, Mark has every intention of dancing with Paige on Monday if he’s able, and is still very much Paige’s partner. Alan & Hayley have both been assisting them during rehearsals for their paso doble, but Mark is running the show – his concept, his choreography. From the impression I got – the situation is still very up-in-the-air, but Mark is determined to dance.

I think the captions on the Instagram picture of Paige & Alan he posted on Tuesday very clearly indicate that he intends to remain Paige’s partner this season:

Artem Chigvintsev And Jenna Johnson Working On New Dancing With The Stars Project
I’m not sure what these two are working on, but, it sure looks like something uhhhh…..HOT! Shots from downtown Los Angeles….

Artem Chigvintsev leans back on Jenna Johnson in this super cute selfie from Instagram.

The two Dancing With The Stars pro dancers shared the cute pic in the middle of rehearsing a new number for the ABC show and shared a few sneak peeks of what was coming.
“@dance10jenna and I working on something amazing ! @dancingabc #dwts,” Artem captioned before sharing two other pics.
Earlier in the day, Artem met up with celeb partner Mischa Barton to work on their next dance for “Most Memorable Year” week …
