May this FriendSHIP always have wind in its sails and a sunrise on the horizon.

Re: Seasons Come, Seasons Go... So Let's Dance Like We're 22

HI everyone!!  I can't stay on but I had to pop in to tell you all.....she made counts so she got admitted for round 2 of intense chemo ....but it gets better......we got an update from the doc on the donor situation today and ....THEY HAVE FOUND SOME PEOPLE THAT MATCH HER!!!!!! this isn't a guarantee of a donor....they are in the process of contacting these people to see if they are still willing and able to donate and will need to do some more blood test to see if they match other markers in the blood but it gives us soooo much hope of finding a donor for her!!!  PLEASE keep it in prayer that one of them will still be willing to donate and will match the other markers!!!  I am trying to not get too excited or too not get my hopes up too much but it is hard not too!!!!   I will post more later we just got in a room and they are going to be coming in to get her chemo started but I just HAD to pop in to tell you all our good news!!!!!!! (((((hugs)))))

Re: Seasons Come, Seasons Go... So Let's Dance Like We're 22

So happy for your good news, April.  Great you can persevere with the treatment and the donor situation is just about resolved.  I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the candidates will follow through with the procedure.

Re: Seasons Come, Seasons Go... So Let's Dance Like We're 22

I might not be on for the next couple of days. We have a long robotics meeting tomorrow to get ready for next week's competition, and then it's opening night at the middle school of "The Sound of Music." Then Sunday will be church and religious ed classes, and in between a matinee of the show. Today I helped out backstage for their in-school performances. (They performed just over half of the show twice, for two groups of students.) Tonight the high school had a cool concert. The band and choral students travelled to another school for the day and worked with their ensembles. The combined groups performed tonight. It was nice. I hope everyone has a good weekend.
