Well, I've gotten zero done today...except for taking 3 boxes (max) to our city's shredding event and picking up 3 bins of free mulch!!!! LOL That whole thing took about 15 minutes from start to finish....it was so easy and well-organized!!! Can't wait for the next one so I can finish off emptying the file cabinets!!! LOL
I must go and get things organized for hubby before I have to blast out of here at o-dark-thirty on Tuesday morning.
Hope to check in again soon!! Keep the furbabies well, CHEERS to the robotics team and "Sound of Music", hoping that Niecey's treatments have the expected results without any hitches, and lots of support to Gabriele and others whose lives are impacted by autism. If I missed anything or anyone, forgive me-- and all the best!!!!!

HAPPY SATURDAY, SISTERS!!
It's been a very busy week...to say the least! Where does the time go?
Having to make a short notice trip to the North Coast to my daughter's early this coming week. She has had four outbreaks of MRSA over the past year and is having a surgical procedure on Wed. morning to close one that has become a cyst with tunnels. Those need to be removed. Because the location is on her fanny, she has to spend several days on her stomach while the incision heals so will need help with the kids, et al....as well as company while she is bored out of her mind!! So the good news is that I will get to visit for 9 days and we are hoping this will end this whole thing; the bad news is that she has to go thru this (and is ready for it to be eradicated). At least they have spring break the week after next so she will be home healing and only miss 3 days of work this week coming. Between Monday morning's doc visits and Tuesday when she said the surgery was scheduled I made my travel arrangements (flights in and out of Sacramento and a rental car for the 5 hr. drive from there to Eureka)!!! LOL The flight at least cuts the trip time almost in half (if you don't consider the time getting thru the airport security and waiting around!!)...so you don't feel as beat up at the end of the day.
Yesterday was another great day with the grandkids in SD. We met up with long-time friends who have 3 kids about the ages of ours (our surrogate grandchildren really--we adopt them all!). We hadn't seen them in about 18 mos., so it was a fabulous time to catch up. We all had lunch together at Pei Wei, then walked around the San Diego Zoo Safari Park (different from the zoo but the breeding facility for the zoo) all afternoon. Fred and Barney (my feet!) were still squawking a little bit this morning!
I left for home about 6 last nite; got here about 8 to find what I thought at first was an April Fool's joke!! Our son's college roommate (married with 3 boys) who has been living and working in Detroit, MI was here when I walked in the door! They just moved to a nearby community last Tuesday and showed up to surprise us!!!!! They are Korean immigrants and he's wanted to find his way back out to the Southwest or West Coast since he got his green card (they went to ERAU in Prescott, AZ ; he spent all the holidays with us during those 4+ years and calls us "Mom and Dad"). So he was able to pretty much create a position for himself out here where Hyundai has its national HQ in Irvine! He is an engineer. We are soooo happy to have them (the rest of our family, if you will!) close by!! Can hardly wait to have them over for a BBQ and trip to the park with the kids, etc. Looking forward to watching the boys grow! They are 6 and 2 (twins). All 3 are just darling!! I'm ready, with Mom, to take them to fun places for kids!!
Finally, the icing on yesterday's cake was to learn that there is potentially more than one donor for our niece!!!! YEA!!!!!! That is THE BEST EVER!!! Will continue to hope and pray for the best possible match and a successful outcome. I know it is early and we shouldn't get ahead of things, but let's say this is very encouraging news!
So for Niecey, April, and anyone else who needs it:
Jet, so sorry to hear about your daughter and hope that she will be well very soon...Hugs to you and her! I am glad you had a good day with the grandchildren...The zoo is such a fun place to go!
