“To be really honest, being so sensitive has been a problem for me. I’m constantly affected by things and I’ve found myself trying to bury them because others around me did. I wanted to mute it and appear untouched. But there’s nothing more beautiful than being truly affected. I can’t be judged for wearing my heart on the outside, where it’s always fighting to be anyway.“- Emma Slater
Not sure when or why this was quoted...found it today on tumblr!!

Well, we're supposed to be leaving this afternoon to go to the robotics competition, but my daughter is home sick. I'm not sure if we are cancelling the hotel room for tonight or not. We may go up and just crash there if she's feeling better, or we may be able to go tomorrow, but I don't know at this point.
Oh Vmmm I am so sorry she is sick and will be sending some hugs and prayers your way as well that she makes a speedy recovery!!!
Hope you and your family were able to go to the competition location, vmmmom. Best of luck to those bright kids!!

Hi guys
getting here late today....so she went to the doc yesterday and got another platelet transfusion but other than that things are looking well.....then they told me that since things are good they will be admitting her friday for a 4 or 5 day stay for her next round of intensive chemo (if her counts are down on fri that might change but they don't think they will) ......when she comes home from that she will be home for a week then readmitted for an extended stay of chemo.....so I have been trying to get things done before we go back in, including touching base with all her teachers and getting school work ready so it's been busy here.....but she is doing well
we will just more than likely be spending Easter in the hospital....hmmmm......any good bedside Easter celebrating ideas anyone?????????
ok so I am going to go see what's up in DWTS land
Aww, bummer. Are you going to bring her an Easter basket? Maybe pack some fun things to do in it, like Mad Libs or puzzles? I know people are more into electronics these days, but that could be something different.
Oh Mad Libs are so much fun...April does Niecey like to color??? I love the "Adult" coloring books, they are great to relax with...maybe you should get you one too!!!!
Such great suggestions from the "aunties". We are family.

Back to the task at hand.
I was just hoping to catch a play by play from CEK re: her trip to Target with the little ones.
Good evening, friends.

Well, we are at the hotel. On the way here, my daughter stopped at a hardware store to get some bolts and washers that the guys needed, and her sister ran in to the pits to give them to them. So she was able to make a small contribution to the team. Her temperature is lower, and she is feeling a lot better. Fingers crossed that she can go to the venue tomorrow. If not, her sisters and I will go to support the team, and she'll watch the live feed. I'm hopeful, though. She is much more herself tonight.
