I love cats...we have three now here, I love dogs too We always had cats when I was little.my dog loves cats....lol.....when our older cat passed a few years ago he started chewing everything and did not like when we left even for an hour or so....the vet recommended we adopt another cat so we did and problem solved....lol....he's just a dog that needs a cat in his life...LOL
Marmaduke loves to CHASE cats!!! He sniffs them out of the bushes across the street. Once the chase is over, he's finished with them!!! Doesn't bother much with dogs either, other than to sniff them, then go off and hike his leg on our tree!!! LOL
LOL.....that is a male for you. hehe

My grandson had tubes and I don't recall that he wore ear plugs...but could well have. They eventually came out and he's had no problems since then (got them when he was maybe about 3).
Hope that Kaleb's hearing will improve with the tubes, CEK. Glad that your furbabies are doing ok too.I thought once they put the tubes in, they stayed forever. Are there different kinds?
There are...the "plastic" type one come out over time...the "metal" type are permanent and are usually used in older children (teens) and adults...or for children that have had several sets of tubes and they still have problems. My daughter was going to have to get them after the 4th set she had if her problems had not gotten better.
what kind is Kaleb getting????

GABRIELE, I didn't change your "going home" choice yet. If you do decide to go with Mischa, just let me know.

My grandson didn't have hearing loss that we were aware of so not sure how that works with those who do. He had recurring ear infections....and got the tubes like 3 days before Christmas!!!that's what my neice had....no hearing loss but recurring infections
My daughter had a hole in her eardrum and had to have it patched. She doesn't have trouble with water in them now but flying on an airplane is tough for her. Chewing gum doesn't help her and the pain last a couple days after flying.
She had ear infections from the time she was 10 months old until about 6 years old.
How do they patch an ear drum? or do they heal on their own?

I would think the plastic ones since he is only 5 1/2 and this is his first set. But I don't think they have actually had that conversation with the doctor yet.
