I want to post this simple finger knitting tutorial since I was all in to "arm knitting" before Christmas.  This seems like such a good little craft to know.  Literally have the tools with you anywhere as long as you have a ball of yarn.  Fun for kids, something to do in waiting rooms, watching tv etc.

And I have seen even rugs made as an end product.

These are SOO CUTE!!  I will check out the video in a bit.  Love the blue ones.  I think more contrast with the ribbons on the others would perk them up a bit.

I absolutely love him, and he’s an incredible person. We have this friendship that I have no doubt in my mind is a life-long friendship.  Getting a chance to know him away from training for Dancing With the Stars, I think we've gotten a chance to know each other in a different way, which of course just makes you closer. Re: Maks Is Back! Season 23

I wanted to respond to View's interesting statistic that 1 in 9 people in the US live in California.  I wasn't able to quote the message for some reason, nor was I able to post a copy and paste version of it.  But....never to be denied!!!  LOL.....here are my comments (as the sole "California Contingent" on the board at this point):

Unfortunately, this 1 in 9 (around 37 million people live in CA) includes about 2/3 of the lunatics in the country (my biased opinion!!!)!!!  LOL  I have heard it called "the formerly Golden State", which is rather accurate at this point, as I see it (lived here over 40 years now).  CA used to be a very nice place to live.  Now the pols in Sac are on the edge of either declaring us a Sanctuary State (joy!) or seceding from the union (oh, brother!!)!!!

In truth, I suspect that the Sanctuary State is a more viable (but highly unrealistic) possibility considering the large sums of federal money that could dry up quickly (and should) if that were to become a reality (and I fully expect the legislature to approve it--because they are that blinded by their own power).

The secession stupidity is just that: impossible to achieve If only from an economic perspective.  This state has the dubious distinction of having by far the largest number of legals and illegals receiving welfare and other government "assistance" in the country (CA is known to pay very well, if you will)...and the exodus rate of taxpayers and tax paying companies/businesses departing CA virtually daily is increasing due to ridiculous regulations and purchasing of the politicians by the greenies.  But, alas, the US Congress has to approve any secession....and it won't!!!

Northern AZ or NV beckon....not that far away!

Hmmm...I don't even know what to say about those eyebrows on Jenna...

Not for everyday, that's for sure! Okay, I guess, for the stage.

Don't want to make you feel crammed in, but hey that's where 23 million of us stretch out.  *lol*

BUT...you don't get to stretch out in approximately 90 % of the continent!!  There's the problem.

Due to lack of water for one thing.   (I know this from Bill Bryson's fascinating book, Down Under)

I know, view; it wasn't meant entirely seriously.  ;)
But isn't it interesting what the map of aboriginal tribes looks like in contrast of modern times and still limited ability to use the land.

This is fascinating, gabriele..

And what is the quick or easy answer to why so few people live on the north coast of Australia.
