I love carrot cake...My MIL makes one that is yummy...I may have to make one now especially since my MIL isn't here anymore and it is to far to run to Florida to get one...LOL
The carrot cake experiment, if you will, tastes nice! It has cream cheese icing with walnuts sprinkled on top. Sent some of it home with my friend (who had the birthday). She is a widow so lives alone with her 2 dogs and a bird!!! LOLThe carrot cake sounds fabulous. That was my husband's favorite; my daughter's was Italian Cream Cake.
My favorite "go to" Bundt cake is so simple it's ridiculous....and so delicious! It is a wine Buncdt cake Didn't have enough sherry left to make it yesterday (and the 2 stores where I shopped for it were out as well!).
Here's the recipe:
1 yellow cake mix
1 small pkg vanilla pudding (instant)
3/4 c oil
3/4 c sherry (any cheap one works! Fairfield or Gallo is most prevalent out here)
1 T nutmeg
4 eggs
Put all ingredients in a mixing bowl. Mix thoroughly; bake in Bundt pan till done (about 45-50 min.) at 350.
Dust with powdered sugar when cake has cooled.

Carrot Cake was the one my son always wanted for his birthday cake. I love them...did you put walnuts or pecans in yours??? I love walnuts in mine!!!
Walnuts....they are actually very good for you nutritionally and personally I love the little "bite" they have. I get (California) raw walnuts at Trader Joe's when they are available.....the best! Just keep them in the fridge or freezer so they don't get rancid.

So it would appear!!! LOL
. Now I understand why she's pumping!!! LOL
I read the article and Maks has projected his own expectation on the baby already!!! OY!! Let the kid be who he is and don't expect anything other than good character and judgement!!! LOL. There is nothing more damaging to a child than trying to fulfill a parent's expectations. Maks talked about the $1bil contract of LeBron James and how Shai needed to be 6'6" so he could play basketballl and make big bucks. Pro sports are....well....a whole other level of expectation. I hope Shai will become whoever he is as he grows--and that Maks will accept that without judgement..
