I absolutely love him, and he’s an incredible person. We have this friendship that I have no doubt in my mind is a life-long friendship. Getting a chance to know him away from training for Dancing With the Stars, I think we've gotten a chance to know each other in a different way, which of course just makes you closer. Meryl

Annie...I read your post where you mentioned TX governor Greg Abbott's accident that left him paralyzed...but I don't see it now. Did you delete it?
Reason I ask is because I read his bio and the oak tree fell on him in 1984. He was married in 1981 (born in 1957)--still married to the same woman. They have an adopted daughter. George Wallace was the only other governor to serve in a wheelchair.

We had a Labor Day Block Party this afternoon....everyone deemed it a great success!! Had a nice time visiting with the neighbors. It was a beautiful day....quite fallish in that it was NOT HOT (which it usually is on Labor Day weekend!), cool breeze, almost chilly under the EZ-Up tents at times. There was a lot of good food, so a wonderful time was had by all.
Now it's almost time for dinner!! LOL Just kidding....we grazed all afternoon!!

Evening or early morning everyone...Been busy all day getting the yard clean from the storm...had to burn a lot of the branches and we still have the flower beds to clean when it dries out a bit. We had to go get a few things from the store later in the day. I hate having so much in the fridge when a storm is coming cause we never know when we will loose power and for how long and then you loose it all or most of it.
Just wanted to say that I am sorry for not posting today...
I also wanted to tell you that I won't be on till late tomorrow evening. Hubby and I are going out of town for the day, leaving early and will be back late evening. With my daughter and her hubby home there will be someone here with the cats and dog so we don't have to hurry back in an hour...
I hope there won't be to much that we miss in the way of news...LOL
I hope you all have a good night and a good day tomorrow and I will see you late in the evening...
