Re: SEASON 24 is knocking at our door...

Not caught up with the thread yet, but googled who won....     I'm glad for Rashad.  They weren't any news that he got signed up by a club yet?  If he can't get to play football, this is great news for him, including the tour.  Good stuff!

Re: SEASON 24 is knocking at our door...

Not wanting to worry you in any way, sisters, because I'm not alarmed myself....  but we do share things from time to time.  So here goes....   I'm going to need a hip replacement both sides as soon as possible.  Sometimes in the 80s, I made some extra cash while I studied, typing medical expertise for an orthopaedic surgeon.  I could remember enough to see it for myself on the X-rays that were taken last week and that I got to take home.  Actually, I didn't even have a doctor's appointment for myself, but took my little guy.  My little guy's doctor saw me waddling along the corridor and decided to order these X-rays last week.  When I saw my own doctor today, we had a good laugh at the fact that my consultations happen serendipitously and in other surgeries,  rather than planned and in hers (we have free health care.....).  Some years ago, I had such a strong nose bleed during a consultation for my little guy that they ordered blood work on the spot, also in a place where I'm not a patient myself.  Same story.  Hahaha.  I think she was genuinely shocked that I hadn't seen anyone with complaints about my hips before the stage of needing a hip replacement urgently.  *lol*   We agreed, both laughing, that I couldn't be called a hypochondriac and I thanked her for always taking my word for it whenever there is an issue which she does without hesitation.  The whole consultation was all smiles and laughter, as she agreed with me that growing old is a privilege and we should take whatever comes with it gracefully and without whinging.  I think she was relieved there was no heavy mood sneaking in.   I've known her for over 20 years and she remembers issues from back then from the top of her head.  Lovely to have these relationships.  They are truly special.

The main issue is the logistics of it now.  Worst timing that my oldest moved out just weeks back and I hate needing his help at this point, as his research work has only just began.  Will have a chat with him tonight.  He has no idea either, apart from having noticed me limping a bit.

Will check out these dances in a minute.  Did you see that little clip with Bonner that he took behind the scene when Erika Jane called him 'Bonker'.  Unless of course there is something wrong with my hearing as well.   *lol*

Whoa.....peta...normani better then meryl.....boo!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am sure Peta was a bit jealous of Meryl during that season if you knew it...I just don't believe what Maks says anymore cause he said he didn't want to dance with anyone else after Meryl and then he didn't want to go back to work after the baby was born and he has done both...I don't know his personal situation with money and such but I would guess he is not hurting financially....

He at least has business interests but notice some of those other things have disappeared!! He is better off than most of them, but they all live an expensive lifestyle and spare no expense, it appears. Just the area where they live is VERY expensive.

That wedding at the castle, going for a couple of days, comes to mind.....   wonder how much that would set you back.

Congratulations to our winner threesome!!!   *lol*
That you should win your own stuff is not quite the planned outcome.  If you're happy with one of the consolation prize 12-sided dice, I shall mail one to you.  Maybe we should avoid to give you more of a competitive edge.  But what the heck!!!!!!!   *lol*

Re: SEASON 24 is knocking at our door...

I won.

So funny.  I had given absolutely no thought to even possibly being in the running this season.  You remember a few weeks ago I had fewer points than the sisters who weren't really playing!

Fun game we have created for ourselves!

I did go with my gut feeling.  And I am very pleased that Rashad and Emma won.  And Normani was very gracious.

Sorry to realize you have been in some pain, gabriele.  And functioning at less than capacity I imagine, if my friend's experience with same is any indication.   Her surgery went sooo  well.  I hope you can work out how to best take care of the matter.

Gabriele...I am so sorry to hear about the pain you have been dealing with.  Believe me I can say I know what it is like to be in discomfort.  I have heard that the hip replacements are much easier recovery than the knee which is what I am looking at in the future so they are saying...I know you will keep us updated on your what your plans are.  Know that you will be in our prayers for a speedy recovery and for all to be taken care of with your little guy...HUGS to you my friend
