Re: SEASON 24 is knocking at our door...

Thanks, KOS, for that wonderful message.  I have printed it out to read again.

And LUV - -

look for something from me in your mail soon.  I bought it (cheap...China) last season to thank you for being our Score Keeper.  This year it can also serve as a winners' prize.

Jet, Annie -   hope computer issues clear up.

All sisters...keep an eye on the board, lurk when you can.  We'll try to come up with an off-season past time or game we can play.

HUGS, friends.

Also hoping gabriele's absence the last few days indicates that the she and her older son, perhaps others in her life, are working out the logistics.

Working on a way for her to have what sounded like urgent, bilateral hip surgery.

Our thoughts and good wishes are with you gabriele.  We'll be waiting to hear from you when it is possible.

Thankyou for your concern, sister.  All is under control at my end.  I had our annual funding review meeting for supports/therapies for my little man on Thursday.  Meaning trip to the big smoke with advocate.  And of course incident at the school on precisely the first occasion in this school year when I wasn't available to pick him up within 5 mins....  Gotta hand it to him....  always maximum impact.  On the upside, our funding more than doubled, taking also into account that I can't provide community involvement because of my mobility issues and that we are down to one carer (myself), after my eldest moved interstate.  As always, there is a silver lining....   Converted to USD, I have a 33k budget which I can self-manage for my guy's benefit, including the direct employment of a support person.  He has one-on-one support for all attendance at school which is funded separately by the education department.

For my hips, I will be seeing the specialist early August, as he visits our regional/rural area once a month only.  Anything earlier would have required more travel to the big smoke, which I've decided not to do.  Having second thoughts about it though..... I'll find out then about surgery.  On a positive note, we won't need to rely on my eldest.  A live-in carer can be funded for the time I spend in hospital.  Well, that's at least what the advocate believes.  So, all my worries have been taken care of.

Good Morning Sisters...

Just a quick visit this morning...hubby and I are going grocery shopping, since I cleaned out the pantry I have more room and need to replenish things...I hate going on Saturday but this just seems like the best day for now.

I will be back later to post the little news that we have.

Ah, it is. It's the first day of autumn! A time for hot chocolatety mornings, and toasting marshmallow evenings, as best of all, leaping into *leaves*!

Gabriele I sent you a "hello" with the other sisters yesterday as I was worried about you not being on for a couple days...I am so glad that you have things working out and hopefully the doctor will give you some good news in August...So glad the "little guy" is doing good too...I am hoping that you are not in to much discomfort as I know how that can wear you down after a while.  Take care...HUGS

Sisters, if no one objects
I think I will start a new thread early tomorrow morning.

Season 24 is behind us.  And, truth be told, it wasn't all that captivating anyway was it...lol
