For annie.  I read they were married for 12 years.  I think he left her for Charo.  Not positive.

He was married 4 times and my guess is he was already in a relationship with the new wife by the look of the dates he remarried almost as soon as he divorced a wife except with Abbe and Charo there was a two year gap.  Charo(7 August 1966 - 17 April 1978) (divorced)Abbe Lane(5 May 1952 - 3 June 1964) (divorced)Lorraine Allen(15 October 1947 - 28 April 1952) (divorced)Carmen Castillo(17 October 1929 - 10 October 1947) (divorced)

Maybe the gap occurred because she was truly under marriage age, if born in 1951.  I know they were different times, but ...   However old she really was, he was born in 1900 and hence this teenager married a 66 year old man.

HRM.....BOOKY......ANNIE.....VIEW.....Do you want to play this season?? Also, do we want to do the trifecta again?  Remember, those guesses came before the season started. lol

I would like to if someone can explain it to me (duh).

We found the trifecta fun to play as it is so hard to get right, especially, if we pick it early in the season.  View worked out that looking at it statistically, it could be years and years before any of us gets it right.  Our chances would be a little better though, considering that a few of the contestants are guaranteed (or almost....) to not make it to the finals.

GUNNER...Want to play?

Thanks Luv!  Great that you'll do it again.  What about a category, 'Chmerkovskiy family competition'.  Who will come out on top between Maks, Val and Peta?

I think a CFam category would be fun!

We could have a Slater/Farber  competition, too.  But with Simone Biles in it, not sure that Emma has a chance.

So she must be using her tanning product!!! LOL.  That hair in the top pic is just not attractive, imo.

I agree with you on both counts...I don't know why she continually pulls it back to tight...I do like it better like the top pic better then that "top knot" on the top of her head!!!

I suspect it isn't more than shoulder length naturally and worn open, she uses extensions and 'filler' strands (or whatever they are called.....  you know what I mean).  So, unless she has it enhanced in such a way, it would look very different to the look we are used to, if it was worn open.  Hence the top knot.  But that's just my impression and I could be wrong.

Good morning all!

It's been quite a while since I've logged on - too much real life going on. I haven't really been following DWTS very much for the past couple of seasons. I've watched the first couple of episodes with my daughter and then just lose interest. We did enjoy a few of Laurie and Val's dances last season. She was cute as a button! I see both C brothers as well as Peta will be back this season. Honestly Maks just doesn't do it for me anymore! 😜 I'll still probably tune in for the first few episodes though. I'm hoping everyone has been well in my abscence. April, I think of you and your daughter quite often. I hope she has continued to improve. I still keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers. It's been a loooong couple of years here in TN. When I first "met" all of you we were getting ready to transfer here from CO. Let's just say it's been an interesting ride! 😏 In late May (when school finishes) our family will be transferring to MN!! Which actually THRILLS me! 😊 Turns out we are truly Yankees at heart (go figure!). 😉 I was born in Minneapolis, and we still have lots of family - grandparents, siblings, uncles, aunts, and extended - in the MN/ND area. Will be nice to be by family again - I think! 😜 Anyway, just wanted to check in with you so nobody assumes the worst. I'm so happy to see this group is still together. Seems you all have grown and stayed quite close. 😊❤️ I will try to pop in a few times during this season. In the meantime, take care! I hope everyone has a beautiful day! 😘

Hi Tennessee!  Good to hear from you.    I think a number of us share your sentiment re. Maks, but he/they have long ceased to be the 'glue' that brought us and holds us together.  We have 'evolved' as my little guy would put it.  Hope you keep on stopping by.  I would be interested to see the show that Derek is going to be involved in and some others are too.  Perhaps you find that more appealing as well and continue to be a regular on that interest.

 DWTS: Season 24 Cast
We finally had the Season 24 Cast reveal today!!!

I’d love to hear your thoughts on the Stars, the Pros and the Pairings!!

Who are you most excited about? Who did you say “who’s that?” about?

BONNER BOLTON (pro partner Sharna Burgess) - In the past 14 months, Bonner Bolton has gone from sitting atop the standings as the world’s No. 1 bull rider to being paralyzed to becoming an international fashion model. Now he’s taking on yet another challenge with pro partner Sharna Burgess on Season 24 of Dancing with the Stars.

CHARO (pro partner Keo Motsepe) - Only a few people in show business are recognized by just one name. Charo is one of those people. A virtuoso guitarist, singer, composer, actress and comedienne, Charo is an American music and pop culture icon and she’s back in the spotlight once more with pro partner Keo Motsepe on Season 24 of Dancing with the Stars.

CHRIS KATTAN (pro partner Witney Carson) - Chris Kattan is best known for his many characters on Saturday Night Live, which he joined in March 1996, completing his seventh and final season in 2003. He will soon be seen in Jesse Thomas’ Walk of Fame, opposite Scott Eastwood. But before that, Chris will be hitting the ballroom with pro partner Witney Carson on Season 24 of Dancing with the Stars.

DAVID ROSS (pro partner Lindsay Arnold) - David Ross is a two-time World Series Champion, having won World Series titles in 2013 with the Boston Red Sox and with the Chicago Cubs in 2016. Recently retired, Ross now serves as a Special Assistant for the Chicago Cubs and also works as a TV Baseball Analyst for ESPN. Now David has a new teammate with pro partner Lindsay Arnold on Season 24 of Dancing with the Stars.

ERIKA JAYNE (pro partner Gleb Savchenko) - You know you’re a music success when you’ve raked in a whopping nine #1’s on the US Billboard dance club chart without a major label machine behind you. That is exactly where dance-pop/reality TV star Erika Jayne is today. Now this real housewife of Beverly Hills is getting real with pro partner Gleb Savchenko on Season 24 of Dancing with the Stars.

HEATHER MORRIS (pro partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy) - Heather Morris is both a talented actress and dancer. She is best known for her role as ‘Brittany Pierce’ on FOX’s hit series Glee and she also appeared in the feature film Spring Breakers. However, this spring, Heather hopes to break into the Finals with pro partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy on Season 24 of Dancing with the Stars.

MR. T (pro partner Kym Herjavec) – In Rocky III, Mr. T played Clubber Lang, a boxer pitted against the film’s main character, Rocky Balboa. It was during the filming of this movie that Mr. T coined the catchphrase, “I pity the fool!” He would go on to star as one of TV’s most memorable characters on The A-Team. Mr. T will be bringing his A-game with pro partner Kym Herjavec on Season 24 of Dancing with the Stars.

NANCY KERRIGAN (pro partner Artem Chigvintsev) - Nancy Kerrigan has been one of America’s most recognizable sports icons for over 20 years. In 1993 Kerrigan became the United States Ladies Champion and followed that up with her historic silver medal performance at the 1994 Lillehammer Winter Olympics. Nancy trades in her ice skates for dancing shoes with pro partner Artem Chigvintsev on Season 24 of Dancing with the Stars.

NICK VIALL (pro partner Peta Murgatroyd) – When Bachelorette Andi Dorfman said goodbye to Nick Viall just as he was preparing to pick out a ring, he was devastated. When Nick walked up to Kaitlyn Bristowe with an engagement ring in his pocket only to be sent home, he was crushed. Now Nick follows up his run as The Bachelor with a run at the Mirrorball with pro partner Peta Murgatroyd on Season 24 of Dancing with the Stars.

NORMANI KORDEI (pro partner Valentin Chmerkovskiy) - Normani Kordei is one-fourth of one of the most popular girl groups in the world, Fifth Harmony. The release of Fifth Harmony’s sophomore album, “7/27,” is the latest in a series of record-breaking accomplishments for the group. Now Normani takes to a brand new stage with pro partner Valentin Chmerkovskiy on Season 24 of Dancing with the Stars.

RASHAD JENNINGS (pro partner Emma Slater) - Rashad Jennings was one of the top NFL running backs in 2015. In that breakout 2015 season, he started every game and set career highs in carries, rushing yards, receiving yards and receiving touchdowns. Rashad will be hoping all those touchdown dances will help him and pro partner Emma Slater go far on Season 24 of Dancing with the Stars.

SIMONE BILES (pro partner Sasha Farber) - At 19, Simone Biles is already considered one of the best and most decorated gymnasts in the history of the sport. Her career highlights include being an Olympic Gold medalist in vault, floor, Individual and Team All-Around, and a Bronze medalist on Beam at the 2016 Rio Olympics. Simone will look to add a Mirrorball Trophy to her mantle with pro partner Sasha Farber on Season 24 of Dancing with the Stars.

I am sad not to see Cheryl or Karina back. I’m always sad not to see Tristan but I know that ship has sailed long ago. I am excited for Sasha to have Simone. Right now they are my choice to win this whole thing.

I knew who only five of the celebrities are.

Hahaha Annie!  I knew two, Simone Biles and Nancy Kerrigan.  No one else.
