Hey guys.....I am searching for words right now......yesterday, we unexpectedly lost my sister.....she has had a trach for quite awhile and yesterday during a coughing spell it completely broke apart (they don't know why yet) and they weren't able to save her.......this is hitting Niecey hard right now as she was very close to her (please keep her in prayer).....and following so closely on the heels of the loss of my sis-in-law....we are going to be ok.....but are still kind of in shock....we are at Niecey's daily appointment and her Doc is trying to contact the hospital up there to see if they can work it out for us to be able to go to Jacksonville for the funeral and do her daily count check ups at the hospital up there for a couple days.....I am praying this works out ....not sure if it will yet or not....but well....we are finding moments to smile and looking for rainbows.....even though right now they're small ones....talk to you all soon (((hugs)))

Oh, wow, April. I am so sorry. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. Hugs to you and Niecy.

Good morning CEK, View, Luv, Annie, Gabriele and Jet! (I hope I didn't miss anybody!) Thank you all for your kind words. Missed all of you! Hope everybody has a fun/relaxing weekend planned. Our oldest (age 14) is touring the high school today! Yikes! Not sure how my baby grew so fast! 😳 Like I mentioned, we are moving, but he still wanted to tour the local school with his current classmates. Loved the photo of Shai with Grandpa. Maks and Peta are going to be amazed at how quickly those first few months pass. I'm sure Baby Shai will be on set a lot and will be in good care, but it still surprises me how quickly they BOTH hopped back to work. I guess I thought at least one of them would stay close to his side at least for the first six months or so. Especially because they were so over-the-top private when he was born. Weird. Must be contract issues .. or else they finally realized how much babies actually cost. Gotta have that diaper money! 😜 I remember having two in diapers at once ... and then two more. It felt like an instant pay raise when I finally stopped buying Pampers and Pull-ups! 😉 Ahhh ... time flies! Hope everyone has a great day! 😊

TENNESSEE!!! OMG!!!  so glad to hear from you.....how have things been going for you???? well I hope

Hello, sweet April!  Sorry I've been incognito for a while. Your daughter is continuing her treatment? I've thought about you both so much these past few months. I'm thrilled to report that my husband will be celebrating 18 years cancer free this March 11! Every year ... every day ... is such a blessing. I'm keeping you both in my thoughts and close to my heart. Sending strength to your family as from what I can tell you've suffered a loss. Wishing you lots of love and peace 😘❤️

Morning Tennessee...it is good to see you this morning/afternoon...
I am late today for the news...my daughter took me to breakfast this morning at a Bagel shop we like...they have some really good bagels and flavored cream cheeses...and pastry too...it is hard trying to figure out where and how fast our children grow...my baby will be 28 this May...

Well again it is good to see you and I hope your day is a good one too!!!

Hello CEK! I hope your breakfast was yummy. My kids go nuts for bagels - especially chocolate chip with strawberry cream cheese. You say your baby is nearly 28 ... is there ever a time when we stop thinking of them as our "babies"? I wonder ...

I do not have any kind of alert set for autism....but in my health news section occasionally these articles appear as did the one a few days ago about the brain cortex thickness in the Early Autism Diagnosis Study.

And then, of course, we know the profound difference in the developing brain that the zika virus makes.

So, yesterday, those 2 things...virus, infections, and brain development...were discussed in a new finding.  I do not think this is generally a topic for this board.  I thought of perhaps Direct Messaging this article to a couple of sisters.  But why not share on the public format.  If it is not something of interest, just pass this post by.

Thank you for sharing this. We have three families we are close to who each have a child touched by autism - two are boys and the other is a girl. The article was very interesting.

Sincere sympathy to your older son, gabriele, on the loss of his grandmother.

Crazy Horse is the perfect segue to the poems of Tecumseh. He was a leader of the Shawnee Indian tribe, lived in the late 1700's in the area now known as Ohio,  and died in 1813.

The reason I bring it up is that I was recently reading about him.  And I love this (below) that has to do with death.
__________________

Live your life that the fear of death
can never enter your heart.

Trouble no one about his religion.
Respect others in their views
and demand that they respect yours.

Love your life, perfect your life,
beautify all things in your life.

Seek to make your life long and of service to your people.

Prepare a noble death song for the day
when you go over the great divide.

Always give a word or sign of salute when meeting
or passing a friend, or even a stranger, if in a lonely place.
Show respect to all people, but grovel to none.

When you rise in the morning, give thanks for the light,
for your life, for your strength.
Give thanks for your food and for the joy of living.
If you see no reason to give thanks,
the fault lies in yourself.

Touch not the poisonous firewater that makes wise ones turn to fools
and robs the spirit of its vision.

When your time comes to die, be not like those
whose hearts are filled with fear of death,
so that when their time comes they weep and pray
for a little more time to live their lives over again
in a different way.

Sing your death song, and die like a hero going home.

The Teaching of Tecumseh

❤️
