Good Sunday morning, sisters!
Well, it's back to normal here....Daughter and the 3 granddaughters are about 3/4 of the way back home by now after leaving her MIL's house at 4:30 this morning (MIL is with them). They stopped for In 'n Out Burger in Ukiah, which is about 3 hours from home (if you don't have In'nOut Burger in your neck of the woods--it began as a CA chain but has spread to some cities in NV, AZ, and perhaps UT or NM...by far the best burger and fries fast food around...nothing ever frozen!). The rest of the trip is a very good but winding road from Ukiah north with little to break it up other than the gorgeous redwood trees and the Eel River!
We had a wonderful time when they were all here....a few (moderately) trying times....and it is now awfully quiet again! The dog isn't quite sure what to do with himself!! He has sooo much fun running around the cul-de-sac herding children on scooters and bicycles when any of the grandchildren are around!!
In about 10 days we will be winging it to the DC area for granddaughter #1's final ice hockey tournament of the season. This one is a Ponytail Tounament, so all girls. It shall be interesting to see how they fare.
Meanwhile, I've been researching and booking lodging for both ends of our Alaska cruise which is coming up in early July. I've let Vancouver (starting point) go to the end of the booking process...so have to get a few things tied down!
It's a slightly rainy and cool Sunday here today, but it is supposed to be 88 by mid-week!! LOL. It is that time of the year when the weather fluctuates between "winter" and summer temps. That tells us that spring is not far off!

on this the first Sunday in March...
Well I am back from my "day off" in the "Sisterhood" not that I actually had the day off as it turned out to be a loooooooong day yesterday.
Kaleb and Kenzie had their "pee wee wrestling tournament" yesterday and that was from 9 am till 1:30 ish.
Kaleb place 5th in is weight and Kenzie placed 6th...this was Kenzie's first ever tournament and she didn't win any of her matches but she went out there and stuck with it...Kaleb one one of his matches and I have seen such an improvement in his ability over the past few months...he has only been doing this for about a year and Kenzie only months...I was very proud of them both...not sure how long Kenzie will stick with it but she showed the boys she wrestled what "girls are made of" She can be a girly girl but she can also be tough and hold her own when it is needed...I think that comes from having an older brother...My daughter is the same way, mostly because she had an older brother and there were always a house full of his friends here...she can deal with the boys it is the "girl drama" she could never handle...LOL
So, by the time I got home and finally ate something it was time to start supper then I had a few things to get finished , hemming pants for hubby, and by the time I sat down, I was gone for the night...LOL
But, thank you View, for bringing over the news yesterday...and I am sorry I missed those that were on the board too...
Let me see what I missed yesterday...
It sounds as if both Kaleb and Kenzie did very well, CEK! Isn't it fascinating how quickly kids pick up various sports and improve their skills? Our ice hockey playing grandchildren have really excelled by leaps and bounds since they began playing 6 mos. ago. Grandson is lazy and not as athletic as his sister but he still plays and does well enough but at a less competitive level. Granddaughters #2 and #3 are both into gymnastics, #3 does dance, and #2 plays basketball, and soccer (Mom won't let her stop gymnastics). Those two are both pretty athletic, although #3 is more so than #2 just on sheer athleticism. Funny because our grandson and granddaughter #2 (daughter's eldest) share many personality traits. Biologically they are actually 1st cousins once removed so it is interesting to notice some of their common characteristics.

At least the weather in CA is a bit better than in NYC these days for taking a walk with baby...LOL
Based on the video of Maks dancing down the road and the back drop here, I wonder if he and Peta either bought or rented a condo somewhere on the west side. The garage under the house would be more typical of a condo configuration than a SoCal single family dwelling generally. They were looking at posh places in the Hollywood Hills last fall when she was pregnant, if you remember! I wonder if they actually bought something??

See, Gabriele? I told you he was a cowboy!!! LOL. I remember you asked about the hat. Well, there is just a certain "look" about guys (imo) who wear hats like that, particularly when they are half naked (which isn't usually "cowboyish"!!). Maybe you have to spend time in the Southwest to understand "the look"!!!! LOL. LOL

Isn't that a true statement?!!! LOL I am convinced, if left to men only, the world would cease to function!!!!! They'd never get their socks matched up, they'd never have clean underwear, and they'd all be "YUGE" (as Trump says!) from being fast food addicts!!! LOL. LOL. Of course, there are exceptions, but......😂😋😂

Looks like they are team 'Denim-and-Diamonds' now. My rural eye spots the barb wire. Not best practice for horses. But not judging, just can't help myself noticing.

You make a good point, Gabriele....but there are places in teh world where there's barbed wire in cities. Been to a few of them myself.....not just to keep the horses in!

That's perfect! She has enough personality for all of them. I'm looking forward to seeing their antics.
Like that Keo doesn't have a real contender (assuming because of her age.....) , so he can relax and enjoy the ride.
They will be fun to watch!
