Does anyone have the "cliff notes" on this? I would like to know what he said, but I really don't want to listen to the video. LOL It is terrible that some people feel the need to diss or say negative things about others.I watched/listened to the entire video as I was getting ready for the day. Contrary to what I expected, it is a good video. He likes Nancy Kerrigan but he makes a distinction between her kind of complaining when she has so much talent, is a good dancer and not in pain and Bonner's situation. And he believes that people quit voting for her because of this. He believes the public makes a distinction between someone like Bonner who has zero dance experience, is in constant pain and someone like Nancy. He may or may not be right about his assessment, but I did not hear him throw shade at Nancy. With maybe one exception, Nancy's dances have not garnered a lot of views on You Tube. He spent no more than 2 or 3 minutes talking about Nancy. Over the course of an hour he talks about a lot of things based on comments or question being sent to him. He does note something I had read a year ago: he is the one who got Derek and Julianne involved in DWTS. People ask him direct questions, he answers directly. He ia a fan of Cheryl, Karina and Val, in particular.
THANKS SO MUCH KOS. It sounds a lot better then I had envisioned. LOL I liked Nancy, but have to agree with his comments. I do think that is one reason why she didn't have as many "fans" as some others. I did cut her a little slack, because she seems to really have a self concept issue (maybe having to be perfect all of the time in skating), but can see his point of view on how others may have perceived her. His point of view, wasn't "bad" or throwing shade on her, just how he saw it without "hate" mixed in the comments. (SO HAPPY ABOUT THAT) I do wonder about the other pros....I kind of agree with him there too. LOL Fame, can be a dangerous thing, from many point of views. THANKS AGAIN for the "cliff notes". LOL
Yes, KOS, thanks for that summary. I wasn't interested in hearing Nancy bashing particularly either...but I can handle an honest critique. I would agree with Louis that her complaining and kind've being down on herself didn't help her with the fans probably and it surprised me for a woman of her age. Somehow that aspect of her personality seemed familiar to me so I think it may have been evident in her figure skating training---and I found her a bit whiny during that era. However, overall I liked her as a contestant, was sorry to see her go when she did, and I hope that the experience helped her grow personally. When I watched her package on the infertility struggle, I could connect on a couple levels and I imagine that whole battle may have reaffirmed her feelings of inadequacy. Her package pretty much gave me that feeling....and I know from my daughter's experience that self-doubt in that arena is very strong and very personal until you really cope with it and eventually move to the next level. You have to finally be able to accept your situation rather than allow it to control your life....and Nancy did that so there are many things she has accomplished that she should be very proud of. I know it is difficult for her to take compliments as well. I get that too and tend to be that way myself, but when I was a teen, my mother said, "Just say thank you"....and that is the best advice!!

Is he wearing one of Maks' dozen of bracelets? Let's hope he won't manage to eat that. You see a lot of babies with amber necklaces now. I wouldn't do an elasticised bracelet though.
Forgive me for my ignorance, but what is with the amber necklaces for babies?

Hi Jet,
didn't realise you were on. They are for teething. I see them a LOT on babies around here. Aren't they 'in' where you are?

That is very interesting, April. Thanks for posting. Now I'm feeling a touch uneasy as to what history lesson, delivered bluntly, I've exposed you to. *lol*
Without my sisters, I wouldn't know that the previous day, 5/4 (or 4/5 for us) was National Prayer Day. Also, that our OT's surname translates to 'Five'.

View, I'm impressed at your sparks-could-fly/heart guess. I remember when you put it up at the beginning of the season and I wondered how you got the idea.... ? But then again, Keo is a real-life prince, isn't he...

There are a lot of pictures of the Race to Erase MS event that a lot of DWTS folks attended. I find it so hard to use tinypics these days. But I'm sure CEK will be able to bring a few over.

Just to add a comment on Nancy Kerrigan....She has posted a few pictures on Instagram and twitter that to me emphasize how happy she is to be back with her family. It's all well and good to "go outside your comfort zone" but I bet it feels great to get back in to that place too.
