Oh man, April!!!   You could almost be a nurse already.  Would you consider that as a general career?  We have our big annual school holidays between around mid December and end of January/beginning of February.  So, we've just gone back.

hmmmmm......don't know if I'd wanna be a nurse......(LOL....they get some GROSS jobs.....and weeeeellllll.....I can be a bit squeamish about some stuff....LOL).....Heaven bless them they are some very special people

Oh ok .....I keep forgetting your summer is our winter.....so its summer break too.....just different months

It is.  School used to break up just a couple of days before Christmas.  Then the government worked out that they save millions in electricity for an extra week off, so it is more likely mid December now.  There is more electricity needed for cooling in summer than for heating in winter.  Otherwise, I guess we would get another week in June/July as a saving measure by the government.

that makes sense really......that's kind of how it is here in Florida....the spending more on cooling than heating thing I mean.....does he do better with the breaks or is the change in routine harder for him to adjust too????

Ok     no problem .......I can google it later.....was just a bit curious    but .....ummmm....lol....I'll have to google who Dante is too

Yes, sorry about that April.  I'm sure they drill kids at school about it.  But I've done my schooling at the other side of the world.  So, no basics here.  Oooops.

lol....no problem.....that's what Google is for  ......remember the days when we had to look everything up in the encyclopedia????   I don't think most kids even know what those are now days

I remember my parents buying the German Meyer's Encyclopaedia in 25 volumes  the 70s for a staggering 2,500 German Marks.  Adjusted for inflation, you could easily get a car these days for the value of that money.  It is mind boggling.

Behaviour wise he was in such a downward spiral towards the end of last year, that it was good to get a bit of distance from it all.  He (and the school....) have made a much needed fresh start.  So the break was good for all involved.

that's good that  he and you had time to just step back and regroup for a while .....sometimes a fresh start can make a world of difference .....and I'm so glad things are going better for him now

When my (now deceased) Father dissolved his household to go to a retirement home in 2008, he asked me if I want to have it shipped to Australia to keep it.  So, it is still in our shed, but untouched.  I'm not sure, my sons or I will ever open any of them, but I know that my Father had a leaf through almost daily just for curiosity.  He wouldn't ever read a book other than on botanics, but he 'read' the encyclopaedia on many subjects.

Oh wow.....I bet he knew a lot about a lot of different things, he would have been awesome on Jeopardy   .........they will probably be considered antiques one day and could be  valuable.....even though to me just the sentimental value would be priceless for the memories of your dad

Re: SEASON 24 is knocking at our door...

My little guy will be going to his Dad in a little while.  I have to get into fixing him brunch beforehand.  I might have to love you and leave you, April.  It's been lovely chatting to you.  We know you have a lot on your plate, but glad you had a little while today.  Best wishes to you and Niecey as always.  xoxox
