Q&A: ‘DWTS’ pro Lindsay Arnold talks ‘Hot Summer Nights’
What can fans expect to see during “Hot Summer Nights”?
“This is going to be the most energetic, fun and entertaining tour yet! We have really pulled out all the tricks for our fans and hope that this show embodies the feeling of summertime.”
Is it a family friendly live show?
“Definitely! What is so great about this show is that we have something for everyone. We actually have a dance where we are dancing with pool floaties and beach balls! It’s so fun because it makes me feel like a kid again, and I hope that all the kids out there watching will enjoy and have fun with us.”
Will you return for season 25 of “Dancing with the Stars”?
“I am definitely planning on being part of next season and cannot wait to get started. This show has been a part of my life for almost five years now, and it truly is a dream come true. I still have no idea what next season has in store but I do know that it’s gonna be great as always.”

Meryl Davis – Nominee for Humanitarian of the Year
By Erik Erlendsson
Since the age of five, figure skating has been the focal point for Meryl Davis.
The former Olympic Ice Dancing champion wants to give that gift to others who otherwise can’t afford to pay for skates, lessons or ice time. Davis has combined that passion with the importance of education to help support the Figure Skating in Harlem program which will now branch out to her home state with Figure Skating in Detroit, thanks to support from Davis.
Through the program, 300 hundred girls age 6-15 will take part in the afterschool program that not only teaches girls the mechanics and discipline of figure skating but implements an educational regiment that offers STEM classes, leadership and social skills training and healthy lifestyle resources through the ICE (I Can Excel) program.
Davis, who partnered with Charlie White to form the most successful Ice Dancing team in U.S. Skating history, grew up in West Bloomfield Township, Michigan. She picked up skating at the age of five and was paired with White at the age of eight. It was around that time that the Davis was also diagnosed with dyslexia, which she struggled with until her junior year of high school but overcame the disability to graduate as a member of the National Honor Society.
During her career partnered with White, Davis won three Olympic medals, including gold in ice dancing in 2014 and silver in 2010. The pair also won two World Championship gold medals in 2011 and 2013 and two silvers in 2010 and 2012. Davis and White also won six consecutive U.S. championships from 2009-2014. The pair retired from competition following the 2014 Olympics but skate professionally on tours.
