CEK, I hope your MIL gets to feeling better quickly. Those blood clots are a nasty thing to have to deal with.

Glad the air quality is better for you today View.
Sounds like you have as many projects to do as me.......LOL Down on your knees scrubbing the foundation doesn't sound too fun to me. LOL

Good morning everyone,
The air quality is better here today thus far (we're only in the yellow Warning stage, whereas yesterday we went in to orange, then red all day!) so I am planning to get outside and finish washing the foundation of the house on the one side. When the hydro-turfers came last fall to spray on the grassseed mulch combo, it splashed up on the foundation and fence gate. I thought with time and rain and snow it would disappear, but no. And I am wanting to hire the foundation painted this fall, so bucket and brush and hose cleaning is on my to do list. Also is the day I meet with my school chums for lunch....I have not heard an update on the gal's daughter with the MRSA infection.
The areas in Wash, Montana, etc. where the fires are raging I think are expecting some rain and showers which may help. We, too, are expecting rain tomorrow which should wash the air clean somewhat. The warning I saw regarding western states though, is that the light rain storms could also cause lightening strikes - and so there we go again with possible fires. Ughhh.
I do and always have loved Anne Geddes' photography. She has been around for many many years and if you are not familiar with her, her photos are such:
She was a true original to my mind. I have read articles in the past re: how she has such contented and happy baby doing and posing is such scenarios!! There have been many photogs who do similar since her huge popularity began 25 years ago.... She's Australian.
I've never looked her up, view. Her range of calendars, diaries, cards ect is in every stationery shop, gift shop and supermarket. Guaranteed. She is a big name here. Just didn't know she is one of us.

Good Morning, Sisters. Hope you are all doing well. I've been a little crazy with the first few weeks of school. We have 5 new students this year, all kindergartners. The student I am assigned to this year is autistic and a bit of an escape artist!! Love him already....but he definitely is keeping me on the run!! I'm looking forward to hanging with you all on Monday night!! Looks to be a great season!! xoxoxoxo
Hahaha.... I've read that 40% of young autistic kids are runners. Hence the higher mortality rate through drowning ect. My guy was a runner too. Luckily, I was more agile back then. He has grown out of it now. Mainly because he understands that the adults around him are also there to keep him safe and there are dangers out there in the big wide world. Our schools used to dress in red/orange for 'Daniel Morcombe Day', a boy who got abducted from a bus stop. School kids know about him, as the search for him, including media, took a decade or so. He was murdered. We did boundary training at school first. I can't say that it truly worked. He used to leave the school grounds just to sit on a rock nearby and wait for someone to come and get him. Sometimes it took them half an hour to notice his absence. I only know that because I knew people who lived within sight and who kept looking out for him from behind their curtains. I think your level of services through education is much better. Here, the education department is underfunded and forever playing budget catch up with the ever increasing demand.

Well late evening to you all. I am telling you all that I will be glad when my "real life" gets back to what the normal for us was. With my MIL being in the hospital and hubby going back and forth to Florida and then to NC and the out accident and starting PT again, I am over it all...
MIL update....Hubby left here this afternoon to go down there...the doctor said the clot it getting smaller but not as fast as he would like. She if feeling a bit better but her leg still hurts and I think is swollen. So hopefully with medicine and prayers she will be leaving the hospital in a few days.
Let me see what the news has to offer and to catch up on the posts of the day.

Evening to you all. Hope your day was good.
I have to tell you all this about Kaleb. After he was watching all the weather reports before, during and after both Hurricane Harvey and Irma he said to his mama that he was thinking about all the children in school like him and Kenzie that may have lost all their school supplies in the flooding. He said he wanted to collect "School Supplies" to send to Texas and Florida. So after thinking about it his mama got with him and she put on her Facebook, Instagram and Twitter what Kaleb wanted to do and the rest is history as they say. He has gotten quite a few donations of supplies and about 150.00 in cash donations. Then tonight one of the local news stations contacted my DIL and asked if they could come and interview Kaleb and talk to him about his decision. Well they did and Kaleb will be on the 11:00 local news...I am so proud of him he never ceases to amaze me with his kind heart....except where his sisters a concerned.
Now let me check the rest of the news while I am still awake.CEK.....this is absolutely beautiful!! How very proud you must be of your little guy!! Hearing something like this, with all that is going on in the world, gives me hope for the future!! Thank you for sharing this.....xoxoxoxo
I second this !!!!
How exciting this must have been for him and for the whole family.
What a sweet little grandson you have there.
I thought you all may like seeing the article that was on the news about Kaleb...If you see his sister on the couch that is Kenzie and the one peeking over the couch is Kaylee...I am very proud of him and his compassionate nature. Since it aired on TV last night a lot of the teachers that work with his daddy at the high school have gotten their classrooms to help collect supplies.

Just wanted to update you all on my MIL....They admitted her to the hospital in NC where she is staying with my sister-in-law since she left Florida before Irma...She has a large blood clot in her leg and a bladder infection. They are starting IV blood thinners and antibiotics....
I will be back in a bit...have some phone calls to make...HUGSBest wishes to her for a speedy recovery, CEK. Bladder infections seem very common in older people. My mom often had them and with Alzheimer's the drinking was a problem (remembering to do it) and then she couldn't tell anyone she didn't feel well. HOpefully they will dissolve the blood clot without complications.
Thanks Jet...I am hoping this resolves quickly and things clear up without any problems...
Have a wonderful time on your adventure...Safe travels and take lots of pictures...can't wait to hear about your travels...
