Heather Morris Joining 'DWTS' Tour as Rashad Jennings Takes a Month-Long Break
Jennings' rep tells ET that the running back will be taking a step back to focus on football.Rashad Jennings out, Heather Morris in!
The former Glee star will be stepping in for Jennings while he takes time off from the Dancing With the Stars tour in July.
A rep for Jennings, who has been dancing with the DWTS pros on their Hot Summer Nights tour since it kicked off on June 16 in Las Vegas, tells ET that the NFL star will be taking a step back to focus on football.
“Rashad has been loving the tour so far and will be focusing on football for the month of July,” the rep explained. “He plans rejoin the tour on August 1.”
Morris, meanwhile, couldn’t be happier to join the squad.
“Get ready! I’m back! Can’t wait to join the #DWTStour July 9th-30th. Get your tickets now 💃💃 @dancingabc,” she captioned a post on Instagram on Tuesday.
Morris expressed interest in joining the tour during a Facebook Live interviewwith ET in May.
“I would personally love to [do the tour],” she shared. I’m not against it, and I would really love to just dance on the stage one more time because [Maksim Chmerkovskiy and I] only had two shows where we got to actually dance together, which was really disappointing.“
